Silent Mobius is much more important to Japanese media than us westerners think. The manga was one of the first stories ever published that features an all girl action squad. The way the story focused on each of the girls' backgrounds, as well as the cool, Blade Runner inspired cyberpunk vibe made Silent Mobius a sort of cult sensation in Japan back in the early 90's. While it never got the popularity it deserved, Silent Mobius can still be credited for influencing media titans such as Sailor Moon in manga, or Sakura Wars in gaming.

@@priscillaasagiri4913 I forgot to write "published in English". Yes, those titles came out before Silent Mobius, albeit only as anime. If there's something new Silent Mobius brought to the table was a more philosophical narrative and the then-new "insecure main girl" who happens to become the most badass member of the team after an epiphany (Sailor Moon, Sakura Shinguji, etc.). In fact, upon watching the series, you may notice that the main girl's character arc is quite similar to that of Neo's in "The Matrix".

A Japan-only PS1 game video by Thor? I'm in heaven! Really wish these titles had translations, as we're missing a lot without them. May get that English PS4 Kowloon's Gate, although it seems like a markedly different game from the original, and I would actually prefer that. Apparently there was an English version in development, suggested by a trailer for it that appeared on a US games magazine demo disk, but was never completed.

Fantastic video as always! I like to learn about obscure and unique games but I don't look into the Japan only ones much as I get kinda sad I won't be able to properly appreciate them, so I never looked further than the box art for Boku No Yatsunasumi but that aesthetic was so well done, glad a 3DS game of theirs got localised, I think I'll pick it up now.

Blue legend of water is easily searchable on russian torrents, btw. We have like 1 Tb worth of PS1 games for every region (so 3 Tb total, redump verified), so if you can't find what you looking for anywhere, chances are it exists there. Arr, preservation.

Would love to see you cover weird games (similar to this chill lengthy format) that were localized cause man seeing all these 100% up my alley games I can't fully enjoy is a major bummer.

Your thumbnail says 'Cool Japanese (people) text'. You should change 日本人 to 日本語 (Japanese language)。

Happy to find your channel, i just subscribed. I have been looking for someone that talks about games that i'm interested in, in a way that i would. The dark humor and dirty mouth, i fucking like it man. I have wanted to make videos in this very way for a while now but i'm a lazy bastard. Have a good day.

Emuparadise was never taken down; all the roms are still in the site and accessible, you just need a certain script to access them. Also, she's Maia.
