The mechanic that allows you to jump in the air at 0:46 is called coyote time and was added on purpose but the developers probably didn't expect people abusing it in that way. It's intended purpose is to make the game easier.

Y'know, I really do loathe those stupid sound and visual effects; they're loud, obnoxious, distracting, annoying, and just NOT "Mario". Does any other Mario game have such stupid, arbitrary sound and visual effects? NOPE. Oh, and the alternate music tracks...eeeeh. Nice that it's there, but...some of them just utterly suck. Like the Galaxy theme; that's abysmal. Not a good track, and reminds me of a truly horrid turd of a game.

Here's the thing, I don't see why you can't have clear conds and CPs in the same level, because in order to post a level with CPs in it you have to show you can beat the level from the CP as well as from the first part of the level, so why does this not work with clear conds? Then again, this video probably proves they somehow couldn't get it to work.
