What interesting about the 3rd Uno Mas level is that when he grabs the Dry Bones Shell and kicks the Spiny Shell at the same time(which isn't normally possible), there's a unique animation for kicking the shell while holding a shell. Interesting, interesting indeed.

@@spongeman3090 yes, and that's all thanks to me. I started watching SMM2 videos, giving them a lot of views so they now get recommended more which in turn brought it back to popularity. In all seriousness it might have to do with it being its first anniversary recently. In fact I think I bought it at that exact date, or maybe I was like one day off.

another weird mechanic I found: if you make a sloped hill, with the flat top being for instance 3 blocks wide, and you hide a semisolid of the same size behind that, all enemies that dont fall of edges will ignore the ground and just walk on the semisolid. pretty weird lil thing, but can be pretty cool to limit enemy movement.

OK, I can explain with the second one. When Mario collects the big mushroom, it puts him halfway into the wall. The game realizes this, checks which way you're facing, and pushes you forward or backward. However, by turning around, the game pushes you the wrong way, and into the wall instead. This most likely only works for a frame or two. You would not need the Link setup. All you need is for the player to collect a big mushroom while standing directly next to a wall.
