Weird nursery rhymes | not child friendly!
If you’re into weird English rhymes, have I got some odd British history for you! Thanks for another video, Jules. When my son was little, we read to him quite a lot. I remember the goosey-gander rhyme, but it was a slightly different version. We never knew the backstory to the rhyme, but just thought it was an odd little thing. The only thing I can add to what you said about it is this: In medical terminology, things are described very precisely (so the surgeon doesn’t cut off the wrong leg, for example). Anything on the left side of the body is termed as “sinister”. For example, a ‘left eye’ is called ‘oculus sinister’. Speaking of surgeons, there is a story about a man who was having one of his legs amputated. The doctor removed the wrong leg, and then had to operate a second time in order to remove the correct leg. Once he was recovered, the now legless man sued the doctor for malpractice. But the judge threw the case out, saying “You don’t have a leg to stand on!” And with that, I’ll see myself out.

In my lybrary they sing a song about a pirate who likes his booze 😅it's like an advert to become a drunk ,who robs ,rapes and kills anyone who gets in their way 😅😅I really do not understand this deluded attitude of romance about pirates 😅😅😅
