Weird-ohs Davey - Complete build and paint for two kits.

I worked on this build from mid May until mid July. I built two Davey kits at the same time and took my inspiration from two famous biker movies of the '50's and '60's. I still have to make a base to display them.

They both look great! Love these kits. So easy to customize. The American flag gas tank looks fantastic. I really like all the extra details you went with. This was the first kit I did on my channel when I started back into the hobby. Thanks for sharing hear builds, take care. Jeff🇨🇦

Thanks Mike, I think I found the Krylon Chrome at Walmart a few years ago. I think Rustoleum makes something similar. It works best over gloss black.

They are fun and simple to build and I found very little seam work required, just a lot of thought on how to put the two bike halves together with the wheels on and then paint.

Nice job, especially the "Easy Rider" paint job. I'm building "Francis Foul" myself right now. Picked up a bunch of Weird-Ohs from Ottawa area Preston Hardware stores this past year but was never lucky enough to find a Davey.

@@ModelCarMinion They usually don't. These were in their odd's-and-end's corner where they have things like toys. Not regular merchandise but things they get as overstock/discount. I first heard about it from another model KZbinr out in Edmonton and decided to check here. They were only $7 which was well worth it. This was quite a few months ago (6?), but you may want to check if they still have some. The Kanata Preston had mostly Francis Foul, but the east store had many more. I picked up 5 in total.
