Weird West is a western-themed retro-style RPG that offers a top-down perspective. It presents a chaotic world set in the pioneer era, where werewolves, magic, and monsters coexist. The game provides players with the freedom to interact with the environment by breaking locked doors, windows, pickpocketing, and even killing any character, including those connected to the main story.
However, the game balance can be challenging, especially when playing in first-person mode. The enemies possess high firepower, making it easy to die quickly, even on normal difficulty settings. Wearing armor or increasing HP through perks may not feel particularly advantageous in mitigating these challenges.
The game is divided into five chapters, with a different protagonist in each chapter. It follows a major overarching story from each character's perspective. Players can recruit previous chapter protagonists as allies in later chapters, and the actions taken in previous chapters affect the outcomes in subsequent chapters, effectively utilizing an omnibus format.

Note: The Weird West Crosshair Mod works perfectly, but aiming in VR remains incredibly challenging, even when using a gamepad. (the crosshairs fail to follow the movement of the motion controller.)
This game plays perfectly in a third-person top-down perspective.
