The police are MOD Ministry of Defence police as Horse Guards behind the gates is a Military property , their role is security and antiterrorism . They were at the gates observing no doubt on their radios , the street is Whitehall , Met police have the responsibility . The person didn't try to enter Horse Guards he stayed on public land !

Troopers still have to do regular watch duties 24/7. There will be several troopers working overnight whilst the rest if the troop are in blissful dreamland in the dorms at Horseguards. Plus Horseguards is now fully covered by up to date CCTV since the refurbishment of the systems in December.

After watching many of these videos there is one very common thing I've noticed from people of all different nationalities, they don't have any common sense! I see little children standing and petting the horses by themselves, I see parents pushing their children right up against the horses, I see a parent holding their little babies right next to the horses head. I see grown adults being totally oblivious as to how to act around the horses and showing no respect. It just saddens me. 🤦🏻‍♀️
