So-since they’re genetically-related-could Kola, cacao, baobab, durian and cotton be grafted into a single plant?
@alasdair_scott5 жыл бұрын
Probably not, even though they are in the same family, they aren't especially closely related, and they aren't the easiest species to graft in the first place.

If it would work it would be like hops and cannabis, you can graft them as they are closely related, but they wont fruit or reproduce
@seiyuokamihimura50824 жыл бұрын
Not likely. All of the species in the family tend to not take well to grafts, most grafts will fail. That is why it is typically grown from seed, and tissue culturing.
@VincentGonzalezVeg4 жыл бұрын
what if you take edible varieties and establish the closest related plants within the group, and make a whole tree with some non edible parts, like of you were grafting from a redwood to pear and rasperries and grape, you would need to branch the genetic realtionship between the limbs someone made a 30 fruit stonefruit tree

Kolanut is a good stimulant, it induces such a hunger if you have too much of it and can make you feel dizzy, some have sweet peels others are just bland like the one you tasted. Kola comes in different colors namely; white, red, brown, and purple. The taste depends on the type, maturity (premature fruits taste better), storage, and how long they've been in storage. Side effects of consuming kola range from temporary to permanent teeth discoloration, fingernail discoloration, it is generally believed to also cause blood shortages in humans, (I'm yet to see any scientific proof for this though).

How to make that tea?
@nareegreel3 жыл бұрын
@@ardi08 1st I want to state that kola nut should not be taken with certain medications. So always consult your Dr and do your research before consuming any herbal teas/etc. split the nut in 2 - there is a natural line on the nut that you can follow. Then grate your desired amount. the grated powder will change color from white to cinnamon brown as it reacts with the air. Add it to boiling water and flavor as desired. My family always adds cinnamon leaves, a bit of salt, fresh nutmeg, the "lace" from the nutmeg, vanilla for flavoring, and also coconut milk. But those are all cultural preferences, I've seen people drink it without all the frills

There are 2 species of cola nut in Nigeria. The traditional specy is popular in southeast and western regions of Nigeria. A colanut of this specy can have 3, 4 or 5 sections according to the formation in the pod. It has significant representstions in traditional events. This is more expensive and is the type described in Things Falls Apart. The one shown in this video is less expensive ones and mostly favoured by people from northern parts of Nigeria. The one shown turns teeth to brown from regular consumption and have strong flavour while the other specy has mild taste and does not colour the teeth from regular consumption.

About what U said at 4:15.. they actually do use real coca in Coca Cola, as far as what I learned a year or 2 ago.. They apparently have a special license from the government allowing them to have a factory where they process coca leaves (the only one in the country that's allowed to do so). So apparently it is real coca flavor, but U R half right in the sense that they obviously strip all of the chemicals that make u high out of it (I think they actually use what they extract to sell as a sedative for eye surgery.. since dropping liquid cocaine directly into the eye is still the best method to ensure that no pain occurs).

We have that in Jamaica. We roast the nut and grind it to make tea. People claim it flushes toxins from your body

I had some tobacco nasal snuff that was mixed with garcinia Cambogia, stuff was like crack. Reminds me I need some more of that, been too long.

You should try yopo made in a very similar manner. Itll get you whack too. Edit, you want it with theobroma bicolor inner bark ash. The theobromine boosts the effects.

Your cat is cool, and has heterochromia. Looks like one eye is blue and the other green. I have concentric heterochromia; 2 rings of colors in each eye.

Would you rather take black tea or cola infusion?

Does anyone remember the Geoffrey Holder doing the 7Up "Uncola" commercials? "This is a cola nut. This" holding up a lemon "is an Uncola nut".

Thanks for another informative video. Bitter Cola is the seed of Garcinia Kola. The fruit is edible while the seed is the "Bitter Cola" which has a lot of use in African herbal medicine. It is particularly good for coughs (this I know because I use it). I typically roast it, ground it into powder and add honey to it.

I read about this in "Things Fall Apart" by Chinua Achebe. This nut is a big deal among Igbo people in Niger.
