Weismann Roadster vs. TVR Tuscan | Top Gear - Part 1

Part one of two. The traditional British sports car is back as Jeremy Clarkson takes the TVR Tuscan 2 and the Weismann Roadster out on to the track. Sadly, having been built by the Russians and the Germans, they aren't really British but they are rather fast though!

Marcos are not made any more, other than the piece of rubbish 220 prototype getting around, They need to do a modern 'continuation' Mantula or LM model, big front engined in tradition. They test Lotus occasionally. MG don't have a sports car any more.

@thdmtr TVR in any form hasn't made a car since 2006. This piece was from Top Gear Series 6 from 2005. The Tuscan 2 was a revised version of the old Tuscan reimagined under the new ownership. The last model they made was the Sagaris, which was designed and tested completely under the new management and ownership.

My relative had one (TVR) it was very fast and very loud, but nothing worked on it. We went out in the rain and the wipers stopped working, the doors regularly wouldnt lock or unlock , the electrics were crap etc etc, but it did look and sound great.

Good - I'm pleased for you. But just remember this: in a 1 Km drag race you'd need binoculars to see the back of my Chimaera, I'd be so far ahead. The MR2 is a good mid performance car. But the TVR is simply in another dinension as far as performance is concerned.
