Thanks for the WS news! I stopped playing WS a while ago but I'm a big fan of KonoSuba and missed all the first printings so I'll likely pick up a box just for fun.

All major card games do reprints. Yu-Gi-Oh just reprinted the first booster box, so I am all for reprints of Weiss too. If we want to ensure that the originals retain value, we can just put a RE stamp on the card and on the box. I have a ton of weiss sps / ssps / sec. Would it suck to see the value / demand drop? Sure. But its not like they will become worthless. The original gold signatures will retain value. Either way, I collect these cards because I love the series, not for the value.

weiss is a little harder due to licensing but i hear u on the gold and RE stamp. however if u read the comments not everyone will agree so this will always be the conversation around reprints.

If they bring over Konasuba Re Edit from Japan that would fix the Suba needs of more recent weiss fans

id rather have the original 1, 2 and trial deck. since i think this is more geared to collectors that would be the better way. See the comment below about the trial deck.

hey audri, do you often go to Gencon? I wanted to know if they allowed hosts to run games and give out prizes in Events versus being in the Exhibit Hall because I heard the exhibit area was so crowded. I heard that they have over 20,000 events. if thats true thats insane.

@@sgr7th tbh I haven't been to GenCon in years. Mainly because I don't do gaming outside of Weiss and the cost is just way out of proportion to what I'd get out of it. I know at Origins game Fair in the early 2000s I ran a tournament out of a booth at an exhibition hall instead of the event area but that was so long ago it probably isn't relevant info.

Didn't realize Konosuba 3 and Alya were coming out in ReBirth. Alya felt more like an Osica-level property and Konosuba 3 feels too big.

they already did megumin show in rebirth so they figured konosuba 3 wouldnt be bad. Alya u never know could end up there. they seem to share IPs with each other.

What I don't get is if licensing is the issue, then that still doesn't explain how would they not have the rights to reprint Konosuba 1 & 2? Aren't all three Konosuba sets under the same license?

I dont think they are. honestly i think each, even though related, are probably under different ones. i personally would vary each season by popularity. we wont really know in the end but just my thoughts.

I love reprints! Since I only starting collected a year ago, I haven’t been able to get cards cool sets that came out before
