Weiss Schwarz MASSIVE REPRINTS INCOMING!!!

Personally to me the only people who are truly mad about any reprint are flippers because if you actually are collecting a set and have no intention on selling anytime soon it won't make a difference to you in the end. This is coming from someone who also just purchased both the Problem Child SP's from the Sneaker set recently. I'm honestly exstatic when ever any set gets reprinted because it helps everyone get whatever card the still need regardless if the cards you own depreciate in value in the short term.

Collecting cards to make money is a bad idea in the first place i do agree that this is going to hurt the older customers but with the influx of new customers over the past 2+ years weiss has grown to a point that not reprinting would be big business mistake as ive seen some of them boxes go for $800 per box and that basically means the new customers can not get the cards they need/want now as for the sps i glad that there going to stay the same as i can now get a hold of some sps that i wouldn't have been able to without the reprint and as a newish collector (3y) it allows people like me to come in and have the same buying opportunity of the same product that you where able back when the first set was released witch should bring more people into weiss-schwarz you also have to see it from bushiroads point of view as i know in my area that the reprint for overlord and slime didn't sell well where as the aot reprint has sold quite well at least in my area so buy the sp staying the same they should sell more products well thats my take on this 😀

100 well said! Let’s just hope all the other reprints will follow overlord. It’s just a bummer for people to spend a lot of money and see their cards drop in value

I just started collecting Weiss for about 2 months now, I am strictly a collector at the moment, and I do plan on learning to play the game. My aim is to try and complete as many sets as I can, but I was shocked at how scarce and expensive some of the older sets have become. I am happy to hear that there are going to be re-releases of sets that I would've like to collect in the past, but I do love the hunt of the SP's and from the collectors standpoint I would not want to see re-release of a old set without having some kind of differentiation between the original and re-release. I also started collecting Dragon Ball Super cards, when they do a re-release/reprint they label the card on the bottom with a "RE" which is usually worth less than the original, but they also offer a gold stamped alternate art version specific to the re-printed set. So there is still something unique in that set that you wouldn't find in the original set.

I’m a new collector to Weiss. Been here for a year. It makes it hard to want to collect when something can be reprinted whenever

Yes thank you for the news. I entered as a collector only about 6 months ago. A major factor in my hooping in was the print run aspect. I’m pissed at WOTC garbage printer and Konami is doing just ok. This is about the worse news I’ve ever heard for Weiss. How are they determining reprint quantities? English or Asia? It’s explains why I was able to pick up a sbr sneaker bunko card yesterday for a steal- some people are fire saleling. We really won’t know how bad this gets till $2000 SPs get slaughtered to $200 and whales leave

I could see that way lf veiwing this as well. Hoping that bushi will differentiate the prints in some way shape or form.
