Thee one sketch artist in KZbin that I absolutely love..I always come back to his videos no matter what. I'm even getting better at portraits now. The only problem is when I stop drawing for reasons beyond my control, when I go back I restart the learning process all over again

@ArtofWeiHo9 жыл бұрын
+saif rehman Thanks saif. Yeah, that's how most drawings go. You just have to make the best of it. Most of the time you can correct for the mistakes at the beginning during shading.

Could you do a tutorial on how to draw hair? Or actually, how to deal with the hair shadows and highlight? Still following your vids as always, keep it up! :)
@ArtofWeiHo9 жыл бұрын
+MrQwerty2524 Good to hear from you again. Glad you'll still checking my videos out. Did you check out my previous video on hair?
@MrQwerty25249 жыл бұрын
Art of Wei Yeah, i remember watching one of 20 minutes. It was very in dept, but i didn't really understood the reasoning while you where drawing the hair. You use great keypoints in this video for example. "Space in between eyes is roughly another eye, eyebrow starts right above the inner part of the eye". I'm wondering if you could make a video (or tell me) discussing similar key values while drawing hair, if there are any. Also, do you have the link of the image you used, googled Ling Bing Bing but can't find it that fast. (Unrelated: Also, your airbrush legs on your website still inspire me, haha, great stuff)
@ArtofWeiHo9 жыл бұрын
+MrQwerty2524 It's Li Bing Bing, it's a rather small image. static1.celebrityredcarpet.co.uk/articles/0/33/0/@/968-li-bingbing-592x0-2.jpg I might do another hair video, since you've brought it up. I should do a sexy leg sketch since you've brought that up also=).

i always have issues with lip poses (ex: duck face) and making the same eye on the opposite side how can i fix these?
@ArtofWeiHo9 жыл бұрын
+Zaero You would need to be able to measure more correctly with your eye. I talk about that in my other videos. Also, you can sketch in surface contour lines to help you visualize the 'full' shape of the object that you are drawing. That's a great question and I'll talk about that i my future videos.
@Deadpool....9 жыл бұрын

Would it help to trace people faces before attempting to draw them side by side.

the discussion is really helpful. i'm not an artist but i'm very fascinated in art esp. sketching and i had tried to managed sketching faces using proportional tools like grid. im using only one kind of pencil w/c is 2H coz im prettily scared of messing up my work w/c i did 😊. thanks for the lesson #ArtofWei.com i've learned a lot.
@ArtofWeiHo9 жыл бұрын
+Analyn Mapanao Thanks Analyn. You know, that's very common for beginners in art, being afraid to make a mistake. That fear will keep you from learning how to draw. Let the hands free up and just draw, whatever it looks like, it doesn't matter. If you keep your hands tight, you won't see what you need to improve on. Drawing is a process, so forget the results, concentrate on the process and you'll be amazed at the results over time.
