Rich Rome : Charles, I’d met at a Hegyes 4th of July party. A very personable guy whose success with Roger Rabbit left a good feeling.
@garypeacock9514 жыл бұрын
Rich Rome: So many plot lines could have been followed. But, it was decided early on that the four guys would command the story lines; hence, the females, Debra Lee Scott and Vernae Watson, were written out soon enough. This corresponded with the dismissal of the husband/wife writing team, Jewel and Jerry Rannow, who’d fashioned the first half of season one, when there seemed to be a sense of continuity and character revelation. John was being groomed for stardom by his handlers and his departure eventually led to a mush-mash of “fun for fun’s sake” script material from the typewriters of new writers most all of the time. Hey, it stayed popular enough to get five seasons. And when sold for syndication following season one, it topped Happy Days, I was told.
