You can really see the generational abuse and trauma that team green has. Otto gives no support to Alicent at all as a father and Alicent does the same thing to her children. She doesn’t know how to comfort any of them because of how Otto treated her and the way she left Aegon crying alone is just cold. Plus, Otto forces Alicent to do things she doesn’t want to do and yet Alicent forces her own daughter to do things she doesn’t want to do. It’s no wonder why Aegon, Helaena, and Aemond are the way they are. You can really see the comparison between Rhaenyra and Alicent as mothers. As least Rhaenyra is affectionate and loving.

In the books, there is alot of hints that the old Valeryans breed different animals together to create Dragons, and even breed themselves with Dragons to gain the ability to bond with Dragons, you can see some tapestry in the background in Season 1 descripting peoples breeding with Dragons. So yeah, the Targaryen always calling themselves Bloods of the Dragon so it might be literal, Danaerys miscarriage in the books also look like a Dragon with Wings and stuff.

Regarding Helaena's strange behavior, it has been confirmed that she has some level of autism. But that doesn't mean that things don't affect her the same way it affects others, even if she is not able to manifest it the same way. Also, she is a dreamer. She " can see " the future, some way or another.

Rhynera had a miscarriage/stillbirth in all the chaos of the news she received last season. Theres some lore about how targaryans ancestors used blood magic to bond to dragons, thats why only Targaryens can ride them. But like with Rhynera (and Daenerys miscarriage in early season GOT) theres a chance of having birth defects, sometimes having babies with dragon fearures loke scales and wings 😮

I'm currently reading Fire and Blood and the half dragon half human thing actually happens alot in targaryen history it happened to maegor the cruel it happened to rhaynera and it happens to daenerys. In the book they do not specifically say the reasoning for this but they do mention that it could possibly be due to the inbreeding

That the maesters used necromancy to somehow mix dragon blood with the blood of the Targs? I'd imagine other dragon riders as well. Rumor is that it's also one of many in-world theories about why the Doom started. Which tbh I hope we NEVER find out about for sure, bc the not-knowing is what makes it cool imo. Also, allegedly Targs were like middle class in Old Valyria? Like the Valarians were way more powerful than them there. But since they left with their dragons & before the Doom, they were able to easily conquer Westeros. But you clearly have the books! So you know better! I've been working off secondhand ASoIaF info since GOT. Which was quite fun actually! But for this I've been avoiding spoilers for HOTD, so I appreciate you! Btw, your editing is genuinely AMAZING! Idk if you're a pro editor? It seems like you are bc of the aesthetics & how quickly you put things out. But if you aren't already, imo you could easily pull it off! The whole Cristain and Alicient relationship NEVER HAPPENED in the books. The writers only made this a thing just please shippers and make the Greens look worse. This is what I don't like about House of the Dragon it's incredibly bias painting the greens as more villainous and the blacks as more heroic. The character assassination of Cristain Cole is absolutely shocking.
