Mike Amiri is easily a generational talent. Seeing how much he has evolved his brand and the fashion world, I can definitely see him as one of the greatest designers of all time

Damn, leading a new way and conversation for what luxury is. It's not like you just took Saint Laurent's S/S16 collection, copy-pasted that, put an Amiri tag on it and your buyers with no concept of fashion gobble it up. Definitely can standup there with the greats of fashion 😎👌

Out of curiosity, you worked for Amiri before? Yeah fashion industry is not glamorous behind the scenes. I've worked for shady people that remind me of Jeffrey Epstein. After the Covid pandemic fashion might be going into a different trend-Non-Branding?
@y-adouradou4464 жыл бұрын
@@jackiechou1916 No, i didnt, but i work in the industry for 11 years. It's just the impression this video is giving me. I dont think fashion will change a bit after Covid. Cause Covid is already over in Europe and Asia and nothing has changed for a bit. Only thing that might change is that all the brands will accelerate their move to online sales, thats about all

@@justusgreen8498 I am not talking about the video here, nor Amiri. I said: I used to work for someone as shady as Jeffrey Epstein (that person was mentored by Dov Charney of American Apparel.) This industry is not short of people like that. That's only referring to the industry experience.

I wonder how much he invested in starting his brand. I has to have been at least half a million dollars. I would love to start up my self but the capitol is nowhere . Smh
@SohailKhan-zj1uv3 жыл бұрын
I’m also curious about the same thing. I’d say that half a million is a little too much. He maybe invested 75-100k. He started making clothes in the basement of some shop that he used to go to. The entire brand started less then 10 years ago, so props to him for taking it to crazy levels of success.
@bigben19863 жыл бұрын
@@SohailKhan-zj1uv Yes indeed man, this is why I am so curious because I think he's done it the fastest ever in fashion history I think. I need to apply for a government grant and see what I can get. I use my own money but it's my paycheck from work which isn't enough.
@SohailKhan-zj1uv3 жыл бұрын
@@bigben1986 heres some advice, if you’re really passionate about it and believe in yourself that much then you should move to a place where you can make the most connections. The entire fashion industry is all a game of “who do you know?” I’m sure you’re familiar with Virgil Abloh, in my opinion if he hadn’t met Kanye west I don’t think he would’ve made it big in the fashion scene, I just don’t see him as all that creative. So that’s a great example of getting big thru the people you’ve met.
