You will love having sheep. They are the most under rated farm animal. They eat everything, even poison ivy and all that tall grass will be gone in a little bit. Great for cleaning out area's you physically don't want to, cleaning out garden after it is done and cutting the grass and they taste amazing. Congratulations.

I am glad you have sheep. I have been raising Icelandic sheep since 2011. I love them. They are considered a triple breed raised for meat, milk and fiber. I learned to card and spin their fleece and hand sheared my small flock last year and will again this year. Enjoy them.

WONDERFUL!! I am so extremely proud FOR your family to have these sheep. Also, I look forward to your videos going forward to notice how much y'all fall head-over-heels in love with these animals. I'm 76 now, but before I was born, my family had sheep and just hearing the stories about "Snowball" and the other sheep down through the years made me wonder why we didn't have sheep during my youth. Well... Instead, we had really top-notch registered Jersey cattle. My dad had been a county agent, but most of my youth, he was the #1 Extension Dairyman for Mississippi, so we got plenty of time with the Jerseys. And, yes, they all had names, so although they always won the blue ribbons and trophies at the fairs, they were gentle, gentle animals on the farm. Many were the times my older brother and I would go to sleep beside the cows and be awakened when they started licking our hair. Ahhh, those were the days. We also raised bulls from time to time, but we always knew how to be on guard, because they could be gentle one moment and like a festering tornado the next. Actually, they were strong enough to kill you. But, none of them ever tried. Yes, I had to hold one off with a pitchfork one time, but that's because I was trying to keep him away from a cow in heat. So, y'all press forward and really enjoy those sheep. Make lots of photos. And, I'll be watch for video cameos when you post future episodes. High fives to all three of you today! ~ Dr. Larry S. Anderson • Tupelo, MS (birthplace of Elvis)
