Welcome Siglavy Bionda, born May 16th, 2017. It's his first time out at one day old. This mare travelled from Austria's Piber Stud farm to Tempel Farms via airplane this fall pregnant with this incredible little guy. Lipizzan foals are born dark and lighten to their characteristic whiteness with age.

Fun fact - Lipizzan colts (the males) are given first the name of the foundation stallion they're directly descendent from, then their mother's name. That's why the colt is Siglavy Biona. Siglavy is the foundation stallion he's descendant from, and Biona is his mom...

Dear Tempel Family.... Oh my, you made a great choice! For those of you who remember Dixie (the mare I purchased from you and renamed Dixana), ...this mare looks like a clone of her! They could be twins. Dixie even threw her head the same way when she trotted loose in the pasture. This foal should be a wonderful addition to your bloodlines!
