Kelly, My best friend, Jeanette, was suffering illness when she found your channel on KZbin. I know of nobody that could connect with animals or love them more than Jeanette but the joy & awe Pebbles brought to her was over the top. Her illness advanced resulting in some inevitable depression. When one of her cats unfortunately died my best freind's despair became heartbreaking to watch. Having witnessed her reaction to Pebbles I obtained a young 2yr old cockatoo as a surprise gift for my friend in hope's of cheering her up. That was 20 months ago. The bird had such noticeably positive influence upon my friend's demeanor her doctor signed written prescription declaring the cockatoo to be an official service animal thus permitting the bird to accompany Jeanette anywhere and everywhere. Walmart, the mall, restaraunts.. And you better beleive they were inseperable. I never witnessed my friend as happy in the 30+ years I knew her, even when she was in good health. The bird obviously loved her back just as much. The duo remains legendary in this town to this day. No treatment was sucessful in treating her condition as it progressed from chronic to terminal. My best friend died on Valentines Day of 2019. The cockatoo which she named Elvira spent every moment of every day with my best freind in those final months of her life. I have now inherited the cockatoo whom I had assumed would grow old with my best friend. I did not know what grief was until I lost my Jeanette. Elvira & I help each other burden our mutual loss. I have come to understand with absolute certainty that this creature has suffered in the depth of true greif that is just as real as my own. Her loss was of one who was her beloved best friend as well my own. So I walk down the street of this town with the bird on my arm during warm weather and nobody knows my name. I'm like the chauffer for some glamorous superstar as crowds gather around and scream "Elvira!" or "Can we take a picture?" If anyone knows, you know right ?? You would have had to known Jeanette to understand how significant the memory is now of how she would tease saying if she died before I did she would come back to haunt me. The characteristic resemblances convince me that Jeanette's spirit certainly dwells within this perpetually 5 year old flying child like creature that comes equipped with an air horn and Vise Grips. As I said if you only knew Jeanette. So Elvira's sitting here on my knee and we just watched Pebble's bring in the new year.. I want you to know, and all of your fans as well, that because Pebbles the Cockatoo channel existed my best friend experienced some pure joy at the end of her journey. I recall experiencing what was undoubtedly the most memorable laughter of a lifetime as Jeanette and I sat beside each other and shared a mobile phone sat upon my knee. At our first introduction we found Pebbles so outrageously hilarious we were rocketed into a realm of heavenly bliss. I am speaking of an oblivion so powerful that it can only be found when two people find themselves in a state of laughter that it becomes mutually uncontrollable. A laughter so powerful it provokes tears of joy. If you've never had the experience then I can't explain. If you have then there's no need to explain anyhow. In memory of my best freind I intend on sharing a link to the Pebbles channel this Valentines day. There's this episode that changed my life forever thanks to you and cockatoos. (God knows I love Elvira even when I scold "DON'T EAT THE HOUSE!"). So this dude smashes a bird cage. And then this insane cockatoo freaks out. Way Out!! And a language unique only to this creature made up only of words to be utilized for one purpose. That being to prep for, expand upon & conclude any and every possible use of that exlusive, well known & most popular 4 letter bad word beginning with "F". Aka the "F bomb!" Ah fuck it. If the bird can say it out loud on screen I'll just write it in commentary. Pebbles' incredibly wide range in the multitude of uses for the word "FUCK" would be remarkable for a human mind to contemplate. I'm talking about an awe inspiring level of creativity in the use of a single word. Pebbles' mastery of foul language will make drill sergeants and drunken bikers blush and crawl into holes. I'm speaking of a raging feathered raptor having a rampage of epic proportions. Perfect Valentine memories of tears of joy shared with an old freind mingled with tears of sorrow also shared with a new one. That is a beautiful tale that you've woven about your friend Jeanette. This crazy turkey saved me as well. I really don't know where I would be if it weren't for her being with me. She has kept me grounded instead of the loose cannon I am. Elvira and you have this new life where you are both still feeling each other out. Let her decide dont make her do stuff. Kelly, the HEALING that your love for Pebble has done is SO OBVIOUS to those of us who have been watching! Now she's goofy and playful, instead of just hurt and angry! It's a BEAUTIFUL thing that she found her way to someone who had the PATIENCE and STRENGTH it has taken to get her this far! To see her act the way she did in this video was like seeing a MIRACLE! THANK YOU for being the precious gift to Pebble that you are - every minute of every day. I want you to know that you've made a difference in my life - and in the choice I have made. I had birds a long time ago. I still had kids at home. My husband fell in love with our neighbor's Muloccan about the same time I found you and Pebble. My husband had NEVER been around birds, and he came home telling me all about Erin. I showed him Pebble. We actually discussed getting a bird. But then he got sick. He died in April. Since last summer, the idea of getting another bird has been growing. Then I saw your video where you talked about the "PARROT CRISIS". I had NEVER heard of such a thing! EVERY bird I ever had (except wild ones) was a bird that someone else didn't want anymore. And that was a pretty common way to get a bird back then. I didn't know that it has grown to be a crisis! I had been pricing Caiques and Quakers, and trying to decide which I wanted - and then I saw your video! I'm now looking for a rescue bird. I'd prefer a middle aged Quaker, but I will take whatever is made available to me. Like I said, without your video, I would have just gone out and bought one (which I'd never done before). Thank you for opening my eyes! I hope that you, Pebble, and the rest of your flock/family have the absolute BEST, BLESSED 2020/NEW YEAR - FILLED with LOVE and ALL PROVISION! 💝💝💝

Awe..there you are Mr Claus with your beard to keep you warm in those cold prairie winters lol. Been there did that. I actually miss it alot. Dang these BC people freak out when it snows that Mucky Mess. Buses stop running getting stuck lol. I miss White Berch Trees and High Blue Skys and Wheat Fields with Grain Elevators that now have all been torn down dam them. I have a oil painting my mother gave to me along with a few others by famous canadian painter and my favorite is bunch of them together with the Title " Two Hills Alberta" on one. It's gone now along with all these precious Landmarks of Alberta. How that was allowed I'll never know. I miss my grandmother's garden vegetables that grew on the blackest soil which people now call those " organic grown ". Sad but true. When a raw carrot or potato or anything taste like it was without all the added spices, and man oh man those chickens and eggs were good. I barely eat meat much because of the garbage out there. Anyways, sorry got carried away. How old is Turkey Lips now? And who needs to do pushups with that heavey gal swinging like that. Its a good workout for sure. Look forward to the next Roll Up The Rim with Timmy's even though they have got on my last nerve lately lol. Look forward to more of the same and thank you for showing me where. I do care alot for you and pebbles and if I thought u single I might come up and go for a tour of that castle you vidioed with this new girlfriend 😉😉👍. Keep on trucken Kelly.
