Yeah I see the similarities.....and he won't be a "part- time schematic QB"... like they tried with Matt Jones. Let's go Hogs! Can't wait. We are all cautiously OPTIMISTIC

He's like a big chunk of athletic clay waiting on Petrino to mold. When Petrino got to Arkansas he had the go ahead to recruit any QB in the portal. Green was his first call. This is his chosen guy.
@TheNostalgiaFiend21 күн бұрын
Petrino is about to help Green unlock his full potential and abilities this year. He'll get twice as many throws. Effective runs. He is accurate, but needs more consistency. Bobby will get that. He looks like what ppl wanted KJ to be. He can also read progressions. KJ couldn't. Green's stats say - mediocre QB. But..... When you turn on the tape, you see his potential. Watched a few whole games from BOISE ST. I don't think Green even knows his own ceiling. The defense should be good. Arkansas fans are "CAUTIOUSLY OPTIMISTIC". Only time will tell.......SOON. SOON SOON SOON. Let's go Hogs!!! WPS!! 4 LIFE!

Hope he succeeds in the SEC. He's not quite a dual-threat, more like a threat and 3/4. He just needs to polish up the accuracy and downfield awareness, then he'll be great. Maybe even strengthen up his legs to help prevent injury during the run. Thanks TG for sticking through a difficult year.

As a Boise St fan I can tell you that I saw every throw TG made. He threw at a 57% completion rate and a LOT of the completions were to running backs and quick slants. He wasn't a good qb, not even against MW defensive talent. I hope he improves greatly as a passer; maybe Arkansas can work a miracle. If not, the kid still has NFL-caliber talent as a runner. Hopefully he develops as a receiver. He has the speed and running ability that makes coaches find places for him to contribute on the field.

Lots of haters in the comments because this dude isn't a 5 star prospect etc. -Dual threat mobile QB is DANGEROUS in the SEC. -Jayden daniels came from Arizona, ended up winning the Heisman at LSU - DRASTIC difference between him & KJ. I think under the petrino offense, he's going to be a solid QB.

I believe TG will play at the next level someday but NOT as a qb. Unless his throwing accuracy improves massively and his throwing motion in greatly reduced, he will not be a good qb. His natural physical running ability is something to be seen - remarkably elusive - even for such a long frame. I truly hope he has hands to catch the ball; he could be the next Randy Moss.

Got to understand our situation at WR this season (and the odd choice to force a 2 QB system randomly mid year) to know why his numbers weren't great. Lost our #2 WR in the offseason with a knee injury. We had 1 go-to guy essentially the entire year until he decided to enter the portal mid season. outside of him the WRs we had struggled to create any kind of separation and had one of the highest drop %'s in the country to start the year. He for sure took a little step back from the progress he made in 2022 but if a OC/QB coach believes in him, sky is the limit.

@vladdkristmanov30572 сағат бұрын
I think he left because of $ and the allure of playing in the SEC. Since 2014 Arkansas has had 32 players drafted in the NFL, Boise St has had 20. TG also believes he is a qb and that an SEC coaching staff can make that happen for him at the next level. I believe, at some point, the coaches will suggest a change in positions in order to maximize his potential.
