The facts, the influences, the inspiration of other inspired underground rap collectives & artists. Every thing in this video is perfect and well put together and narrated. I really appreciate people like you for caring for the culture and teaching and showing the world what they don’t understand and missunderstand. Great fucking job Man really. Can’t wait for PT. 2 and please make the story of ₲oth Money next after PT. 2. Idc what anyone says about purrp, he’ll forever be a pioneer & Legend in my eyes despite his actions. @timzzzszszszzz10975 жыл бұрын
I still remember the specific moment I was exposed to SGP's music: around 16 - 17 yo playing Maple Story and Don't Get Ya Head Bust came on. Suffice to say it rearranged some neural circuits permanently, I had never heard such a unique sound come from a hip-hop artist. After wading through shitty 2000s rap for my whole life he blew my mind wide open. I still regard SGP as more of an experimental artist dealing in psychedelic, occult esoterica rather than a conventional rapper/producer. I really hope he doesn't succumb to pressures to be famous and commercialize his sound.
@MrAka3695 жыл бұрын
Tim Sullivan hit the nail on the head, i feel the same way when i first heard SGP, he was definitely ahead of his time with that trippy sound, and he modernized three 6 mafia style but created his own style in the process through experimenting with so many creative sounds including ambient noises giving his style that dark psychedelic atmosphere.

god been listening to the underground since a freshman, now that basically everyone has come up, it’s been harder to find new music that made me feel the same way sesh, raider, goth money, achievers, Flatbush, ASAP, members only, etc made me feel when I discovered. maybe it has to do with my age or the drugs I’ve been taking that have jaded everything around me. but still, listening to the first phase of the underground brings back such great memories and feelings of euphoria. I am truly blessed to be apart of the growth and rise of it. It wasn’t until four years after listening to all the different scenes that people finally started catching up with the wave. But there was a lot still left in the shadows, some of em left the scene, some of em are still trying. one thing that is for sure, is that talent doesn’t guarantee anything. Please, do goth money after this. Great video, it’s like watching and hearing the stuff I liked back then that took priority.

@@JohnSmith32643 guns n butter brothaman toney tone purity changes idk for me tbh those some of my favorite Rocky tracks period I don't think how people make u pick a side a artist it's either trash or amazing hot or cold is how shit works that album was better than most stuff I heard last year Cole included I liked Denzel and jid more just for conversation sake. But be honest do u not like that Rocky joint or is it he's just not as popular as he was on the music side alone

@@masihabdullah7753 The only tracks I liked on Testing were Distorted Records and OG beeper the rest were just meh. I believe that Rocky could have did better but he was just testing out new sounds and flows so it is what it is. And I recently started listening to Rocky I started with live love asap and I must say that he is definitely one of the best new school rappers

@@cookiesboi5 nobody lmao. Purp fans present no logic at all. Purp was just the prey of larger artists and never moved on past the beef. This is exactly why Rocky hit mainstream legendary status and Purp has become an irrelevant name of an influential past.
