'Welcome To Cleveland' rooftop still baffling Milwaukee passengers decades later

If you google the address, it’s listed as a “tourist attraction.” Looking at this Bay View building from the street, you wouldn’t know why. The former theater’s façade is nothing special. It’s the rooftop that puts this property on the map.

I'm originally from Cleveland area, and the suburbs of Olmsted Falls and the Puritas & West Park neighborhoods of Cleveland proper are situated approx 2-3 miles out from the main runways at Hopkins Airport. Those areas would be perfect for welcoming folks to Milwaukee!

Had to look for it on Google Earth... *It's still there! * . 🤣 I'm sure everyone now on a plane to Milwaukee would be cranning on their windows looking for this now "famous" Milwaukee landmark. Pilot: "Ladies and gentlemen if you look to your right, you will see the "famous" 'Welcome to Cleveland' sign.
