I lived in Evanston in the early 80's. It looks so different. Thanks for posting this video. My dad passed away in 2016 and we both wanted to go back. It"s a beautiful place.

@@TheToxicmid I was in the 4th and 5th grade when I lived there. Not sure how old you are but I'm about to be 48. I still remember so much about living there. Lots of snow and cold weather.

I have been to Evanston 10 years ago...time flies... I am Korean In year 2010, I went to University of Colorado Boulder... Over the winter vacation, I traveled to California through highway 80...it snowed on the highway and I sliiped and hit the guardrail...and was towed to a collision center in Evanston in the middle of the night and stayed in a motel there. It was not a good experience...the collision center didn't fix my car for a month and a half...so I was troubled and stressed out... But now i miss Wyoming, Evanston and those years in the United States...so I am waching your video. It is nice weather! there!!

I am moving there in a couple days. Took a full time position at the hospital. Buying a house...very excited, and a little nervous. I was shocked how friendly people were when I was there interviewing a month ago. There so much to do around the area if you like the outdoors.

My soulmate And I worked in Evanston at a truck stop (Jills Husky House) up on I-80 in 1976. Such GREAT memories of GREAT people. It was no where near as big as this video. It was only the historic district back then. The round house was is terrible condition back then. No fast food joints or even car dealerships. The bowling ally had 3 lanes

Question? 3 actually. Does it have a Walmart Supercenter? Do they have an 18 hole Disc Golf course in or just outside of town? Do they have at least 2 decent size city parks that are at least 20 acres in size for kids to rome around in?

So did you guys live there before?? I lived there for less than one year back in 1980. I went to kindergarten there. We lived there while my stepfather was working construction. I’d give just about anything to get to go back.

No, we never lived there. We were driving through the Unita Mountains and ended up in Evanston. We liked the town!

The new building you saw was the state hospital, it's a psychiatric facility. It's my wife's hometown, though we live on the east coast. Thanks for the video, we appreciate it!

The curved brick buildings are the old roundhouse for the railroad. It has been under refurbishment if quite a while. You should have stopped, and checked it out. Evanston is a really cool little town.

I live in Cheyenne at the southeastern part of WY. Evanston is at the southwestern part of the state. Cheyenne has only a part of the original round house but plenty of old steam engines "live" here one. Evanston has the honor of being the only complete round house in Wyoming . . . so all those old railroad buildings especially that round house you drove beside is truly valued and appreciated by old rail buffs.

Congratulations!! How exciting, good luck on your new adventure! BTW you need to check out the Uinta mountains, they are so close to you and are amazing & beautiful! I did some recent video's on the different lakes and the mountainous area if your interested.

Interesting. I was playing around in google maps and tried to look for city in the middle of nowhere, then youtube it. I'm from Portland Oregon so it's vastly different, we have trees everywhere and of course tall buildings. But it looks very peaceful and clean.
