I just found your channel yesterday. Your videos of Baghdad really hit a spot for me. I was there for a year in 2005 to 2006 during the war. Despite all the bad that comes with war, I have fond memories of the people I met and worked with and have cried over Iraqis I knew that have died because of the insurgents. I’m glad things are doing better there and that people are starting to visit. Lord willing, maybe I’ll get a chance to visit and have a bit of closure regarding my past time there. Thanks for showing all this. 🤙🏻

@@crystalwater505 I will talk about change because I am Iraqi. Meaning, sectarianism has ended and wars have diminished. Now Iraq is coming back with strength. It is colonizing and becoming better. Better than before. Now it is safe and the Iraqi people are known for their generosity. When you come to Iraq, they do not allow you to pay money. They are generous people and do not allow the guest to pay money. Sorry because there is a lot of talk, but it is not possible. Description of Iraq ♥️

Hello family. I got to say, it was in large part to Doug that a little under a year ago I made the decision to head to Iraq. I will confirm that Iraqi travelers café is a great place to make connections. I just threw it out there that it was interested in going to Iraq. I also posted my photo. Not long after, a number of people leaned in and offer their services. As luck would have it, An Iraqi that lived in my part of the United States came forward. Ended up staying with their family. Have amazing memories that will last a lifetime. Was great to walk the very streets that Doug is showing in this video. Great to see that the street has been finished up. Of course the remainder of bagdad is very much rustic..lol And for all my LGBTQ folks. I never had any negative experiences. Of course it’s don’t ask don’t tell!

@@IraqieGirl541 oh yes, I did get taken to a amusement park which is close by to a central shopping area that had a mall. That being said, being from California, a place that nearly invented the concept of a mall, I tend to avoid malls lol. Would be wonderful to see a lot of those old architecturally significant commercial structures in old Baghdad get restored. we could certainly do a mall back in California, but what we can never replicate is the beautiful old architecture in Baghdad

Sad what your gov did to these innocent people just because Iraq wanted to de dollarize , suddam replaced the $10b US dollar reserves that was in iraqs banks with euros instead it had a big impact on the US financial system putting billions on to the debt for the US gov , the 2nd thing he did was he started to give non US companies oil contracts and built up a lot rare minerals like gold in iraqs banks , the US started painting him as a dictator with weapons of mass destruction not long after that in their media , 1m iraqis dead from that invasion , they did the exact same to Libya and gaddafi , he wanted to de dollarize and introduce a new African currency called the gold dinar to replace US dollar reserves in Libyan banks and To use this new gold dinar currency to trade for oil instead of the dollar diverting revenue from US banks to state controlled Libyan funds , this is why I’m so skeptical on the war in Ukraine and I’m not listening to the lies US media has always put out , it’s a fact that the US did a ukriane coup in 2014 and it’s A fact that ukriane is the most corrupt nation in Europe our media here in Europe used to report on the neo nazi militia part of the Ukrainian national guard of defence the azov battalion burning out Romano camps , vandalising Jewish holocaust monuments ,shot at and shelled ethnic Russia separatist civilians in Mariupol, crimea , Donbas ect ,there is thousands of video evidence online and you can even find the leaked coup phone call here on KZbin from 2014 with Victoria nuland & pyatt 2 US gov diplomats discussing the coup and which leader ukriane should have next , US diplomat Victoria nuland even had to apologise to the EU for her comments made in that leaked call “F*** the EU” Ukraine also celebrates Stephen bandera they see him as a national hero he was a nazi collaborator responsible for the massacre of Jewish and polish civilians in ww2 they have thousands of monuments around ukraine and march for him every year while other European countries see him as a fascist nazi , Russia de dollarized like Iraq and Libya a few years back after putins friend gaddafi was murdered he wanted to continue his friends (gaddafi) legacy of de dollarizing replacing US dollar reserves in Russian banks with precious metals causing trillions of dollars of debt to US Economy, the US couldn’t directly go to war with a nuclear superpower like Russia like they did with Iraq and Libya so they have been training and arming Ukraine for the last 8 years as a puppet regime used against Russia , China seen the success of russias de dollarisation and is now doing the same so the US sent Nancy pelosi , warships and spy planes around and over mainland china causing tension in that region, china sent the spy balloon in response over mainland US , the US is also training and arming Taiwan for a war with china for de dollarizing like their doing in ukriane but the US plan had backfired they pushed China and Russia closer together and now many countries around the world that have experienced US oppression in the past are applying to join the BRICS alliance like Mexico , Argentina , uraguey , Thailand , Saudi Arabia , Indonesia , Iraq , Iran , egypt ect , the EU is torn between US and china they dont want to lose China as a trading Partner we realy on them too much for cheap imports and the Mutual investment agreement they signed a few years back this is why we’re seeing leaders like macron for example creating stonger ties with china recently
