The nation's museum, celebrating the fishing heritage of Great Grimsby, the east coast Port famous worldwide for its fishing industry. Step back into the world of the 1950s and 60s and follow in the footsteps of the trawlerman. Learn about the most dangerous job in the world, with trawler guides on the Ross Tiger trawler and, new for 2015, our brand new children's series, Tom & the Trawler, showing on interactive screens in bitesize episodes around the centre.

as a Grimsby lad I must say its a shame they didn't turn the whole of the docks into a heritage site . I left gy with my family 10 years ago and every time I go back there seems to be more of the area pulled down . now its the freeman street flats turn . I can hardly recognise my home town anymore.no more cinemas in gy and the pubs are all shutting . I used to play in a band in all the pubs and clubs , I still do but there are not many left in gy that I remember.drivers club, mariners club both gone plus the palace buffet and the queens in Cleethorpes . what a shame.

Why was Esther allowed to be laid sunk next to Ross Tiger. and not been saved and restored when it was still afloat.
