You might like "Fierce Fairytales" by Nikita gill. I'm not sure about the relatable aspect on it but I think it would still be worth checking out. It's feminist and pretty fun, a mixture of poems and short stories. It takes some classic fairytales and gives them a twist, like tinkerbell going to anger management, red riding hood actually being a protector of the forest, Peter pan and captain hook being childhood lovers that ends in betrayal, and so on. Yeah that chant is not just a France thing it’s used in general with a lot of countries, we use it in Ireland! Christmas trees with cats is just stress!

I agree. I love poetry, and I do like modern poetry, but a lot of the times I am underwhelmed. It is not an easy category for me to navigate, which is why I prefer getting them in person in a bookstore so I can actually flip through and get a better idea of what I am getting.

I can't exactly comment on modern poetry cause I dislike it, but I own beautiful collections of Dickinson, Frost, Poe, Tennyson, Yeats and a couple others, plus the seasonal collections. Have you tried/enjoyed any of those? Maybe the tone doesn't suit you. But also yeah, poetry is like sitcoms. If it doesn't hit you just right then it pretty much sucks.

Invest in shatter proof ornaments. I did that after my first Christmas with my two cats because they were breaking the ornaments. Now if they knock them off I don’t stress it and put them back on the tree after they are done playing.
