God how I wish I could discover this show for the first time again. I'm 17 now, I was 11 when I first watched ST. No matter how "cringe" or the amount of times this show was mocked recently it will always have a special place in my heart. I miss season 3 so much. This show depicts literally 100% of the life that I've always desired as a kid, from having cool nerdy friends, exploring new places together to bringing our imaginations to life etc. I hate being nostalgic about events that I never and WILL NEVER experience. It just sucks. I want to be a kid again

As a guy who has less than 2 months before he turns 18 i agree with everything you said. I never watched stranger things but i remember people talking about it in 2016. I never had that many friends during my childhood and thats what makes me sad when i listen to these songs. At least the last few years of my teenagehood were golden. I will eventually watch stranger things and when season 5 comes out they better have a track called "adults"

God, I miss Stranger Things so much. I honestly don’t know why, but I feel so connected to their soundtracks and the show itself, it just reminds me of the life I desire, even though I literally have no friends whatsoever💀 Stranger Things is my comfort show, I have rewatched it so many times. I've written in a couple of Stranger Things comment sections talking about the music it plays, and how the said songs affect me. In this video, I think it has to be the ending with Kids. My all-time favorite song by Kyle Dixon and Micheal Stein is Eleven, but this one falls in an incredibly close second place. I remember the first night I ever turned on Stranger Things. I was in 8th grade, coming home from a basketball game my team and I had won. My dad was a coach, and he drove us home earlier than with my mom and brothers who were all spending time with friends-- but my dad and I were hungry, and I didn't get to spend much time with him alone because of my brothers, so I found the opportunity exciting. My aunt and cousin, his sister and niece, had not stopped talking about Stranger Things since it aired in the summer of that year (2016), and this was around the end of November before Thanksgiving so we thought we could give it a shot. We ordered Chinese takeout, and sat with each other on the couch while anticipating how good this show actually could be. The opening shot of November 6th, 1983 came on with the stars in the background, the first victim to the Demogorgan, the kid's first shown DnD campaign, the disappearance of William Byers... Dramatic as it sounds, this was literally the moment my life would be forever changed. I fell in love with the first season, and made my mom watch it too as soon as possible. We finished the season together, but it really was only me who was so headstrong to binge the season when both 2, 3, and especially 4 came out. I've had a lot of excitement when watching the new seasons with other people, my second favorite memory maybe being binging the entirety of season three a couple days after it dropped when I had only intended to watch and episode or two with my boyfriend at the time. Others include: seeing Eleven for the first time again in season two with Hopper, finally being able to see the option of watching season four on Netflix that late night it dropped, forcing the series upon all my middle school friends who probably thought I was crazy for taking my obsession to such an nth degree, two years ago during COVID lockdown when I screen-shared my Netflix browser with a bunch of online friends through Zoom and we watched the show three times over leading up to Christmas. Nothing. Nothing will compare to the first time I heard that song 'Kids', and saw those three boys riding their bikes into the night in wanting to go to bed as soon as possible for school the next morning. To those who read this, thank you for reliving some of those formidable moments in my lifetime. I am so in love with this show and its characters, I watch it almost nightly to this day, and I am so grateful for all the life it has taught me through these past few years. It is something irreplaceable in my heart, and I will keep devoting my time and creativity to this show if it's LITERALLY the last thing I do xD. Kyle and Micheal really knew what they were doing in making each soundtrack, the nostalgia the first seasons score brings me is unmatched by any other music. It's honestly hard to put into words what this show means to me, but I'd like to think what I'm trying to say is how 'Kids' makes me feel. What an amazing piece of art :)

How does "Teens" make you feel? In my opinion that track is better than Kids in some ways

@@Luka2000_ The track is good! It, in all honesty, makes me feel a bit sad when played next to Kids. Because, it has changed, and those "kids" have changed. We've all grown since the show has come out, and I respect the composers for being so clever and having the song now "grow" because those kids in the show aren't kids anymore. But, I still would choose Kids over Teens- and maybe a few others before Teens as well (like Eight Fifteen, Unambiguous True Love, or Boys and Girls, Eulogy also has me feeling a little too much haha) But, all-in-all, Teens is a terrific track as well!

I remember 2020-2022 being some of the darkest years of my life. Everyone I knew was cruel, my mental health wasn’t the best, I felt alone alone, and much more I don’t feel comfortable listing. Looking back, I probably had shown lots of symptoms of anxiety as well, but at the time I didn’t know. I’m a better person now, and I’ve grown from those years. I also remember stranger things 4, my Gacha phase just about ending, the smell of the outdoors, Wanting to cry, And falling asleep to playlists like these. For some reason, I really want to thank you for this playlist. So, thank you.

Every song that is in this show connects to me so much. Some of the songs are like nostalgia to me because its almost the end of the show and i dont want it to end. Walkin in hawkins (the first one) and some other songs have a special place in my heart though. It has a weird feeling but good listening to them. It makes me sad listening to it reminding me the show is going to end soon. I watched stranger things in 2016 and thats when i became a fan of it. Now its going to be all over soon.

Season 4 meh ..... Season 3 definitely watchable ..... Season 2 very good .... Season 1 was absolutely sublime ..... Genuinely the last time I felt truly truly lost in a show overjoyed with happiness and escapism .... The score for Season 3 averaged out, then took a huge nosedive personally for S4 .... Season 1 was so great. Season 2 would have been fine without that weird, disconnected and long Eleven arc. Season 3 was a train wreck: I really liked Billy's arc and Steve is always a plus. But the season was too comical and, the suspension of disbelief was too difficult with that weird plot. And I especially hated how almost manically protective Joyce and tragic Hopper were turned into a (bad) comic relief duo. And I know, Steve is often a comic relief too, but it works better (less annoying and bombastic, more relatable and fitting, more short-term). Season 4 was better. Eddie was great and there were glimpses of brilliance. Plot was more somber and less comedic. But the problems with Joyce and Hopper continued, albeit to a lesser extent. I liked Vecna as an opponent (and what a legendary D&D character), but I didn't like the implications it had for previous events. It must also be said that the purpose of Eddie's character was too clear almost from the beginning. And that's maybe just me, but season after season I care less and less what happens to Eleven. Second best season, I would say.
