Some of my best memories as a teen… first went as a kid with my grandparents, later with friends + I worked at the Concord (mostly weekends + holidays, whenever school was out) Great times

Seems like a lifetime ago that I shlepped a tray with 12 main dishes with metal covers to my station, 3 times a day, 7 days a week - and still, it was one of the most memorable experiences of my life. Now, 45 years later, there are still friends around the country and Canada and a worn out CD of Dirty Dancing to remind me of such a sweet and wonderful time.

Spent summers at Kutcher's and at the Concord as a kid. Then, sent my kid to Kutcher's Sports Academy for the summers... so sad it's gone.

I used to go there when I was little, but my mom went there during her childhood more. It's a shame this place died! We go to Villa Roma now, which is basically the last old school looking hotel. Even though the Borscht Belt resorts aren't around anymore, at least we have Villa Roma to go to.

I remember when Kutsher's was still open, and on it's last leg. Reading through the reviews of the place were both hilarious and sad. According to the reviews, the food was horrible, and stunk like a freshly used bedpan. The rooms were moldy, smelly, dirty, and bedbug blood stains were everywhere. The lake had floating diapers and garbage in it and the water in the indoor pool was green and slimy. Reviewers were amazed the place was still open. What's sad, is at one time the place was thriving and well maintained. That whole area was packed with hotels, thousands of people spent their summers there and it was the place to go for New York Jews. Not only the hotels, but the whole economy of that area took a huge hit when the Catskills folded and its never recovered.
