my grandfather had a heart attack late in his life & i guess it clicked for him that nobody was going to miss him and somehow he did a full 180 on his personality for the last few years he had left, it was crazy, and part of it was when he thought you were doing something wrong he'd do ":) would you like some advice?" & if you went "No thanks, I'm having fun figuring out what I'm doing" he would respect that. and brother that makes such a world of different. I do that in Heroes of the Storm now; unrelatedly im a cracked Deathwing gamer god with like 90% winrate and average 0-1 deaths per game bc nobody else understands how to play him correctly & he's secretly insanely broken and when I get a teammate who rolled deathwing in ARAM i get a pang of 'i MUST make this guy play DW properly it would feel so good' and then instead im just like "do you want coaching on how to play DW or do you just wanna have fun figuring it out", and if they dont ask for coaching i eject the notion that that player can even see my messages straight out of my head. and since im oversharing already anyway, we recently asked my friend about Diablo 4 during its free weekend and they were like "oh i already played it with my boyfriend, didnt have much fun". we asked what was wrong with the game and they were like "nothing, but every time we leveled up and id open my character screen to work out a new build my bf would open tiktok to find the streamer-advised ideal build and then reach over and undo my build so that i would play the game properly". just reading that made my spouse so mad it ruined their day. if it bothered you to read that then this is your sign to not give teammates unsolicited advice anymore

@@tabula_rosa I'm so happy you took the time to share this. Thank you. I picked up two things I want to hold on to: 1) a reminder that even at a later age, your personality can absolutely still change and grow. That's reassuring. 2) "Would you like some advice?" is the exact approach I'm going to commit to doing until it becomes habit. I want my personality to be more like that. Also, I've been experiencing this in WoW. I'm in a friendly guild of raiders but they're like... super hardcore spreadsheet min-maxers and that's just not for me. And I appreciate those who see this perspective rather than "you're playing wrong. Go set up your character and skill order as prescribed." It's obviously fun for people because many do it, but I cannot to this day understand how it's fun.

Why not Tyler vs soda 1v1 in wc3 for warchief. I like restricted grubby vs t1 but it feel kind of obvious what will happen although it will be funny. Seeing Tyler1 potentially take down soda who has a massive lead in terms of game knowledge would be great.

I don't think Soda's game knowledge is that great at all tbh. He mainly plays custom games. He has knowledge on the units and what they do, but I'd say if Tyler takes some time to learn and takes coaching it's a gap he can close fairly quickly. I think Grubby vs Tyler in Starcraft Brood War would be more interesting. Although I'd still hard favour Grubby. And it definitely won't happen because the Grubby vs Tyler thing is meant to promote WC3.

​@@arashimo The warrior vs warrior was a RNG fight. If they were to duel in wc3, it would come down to dedication and skill. (Although some RNG there too, because since they aren't pro, picking units to fight the opponent will succeed with a degree of luck / guessing right

advanced strat for warden (that i don't see many people doing) is investing in items, and when your warden is living through multiple waves, to transfer all the items to your other hero gives you double the value of the items
