Just did a comparison with Lumion vs TM when it comes to interiors and ray tracing. Lumion is so far off the mark when it comes to reflections. Really hoping they improve it quickly or my workflow stays the same. Lumion for large-scale exterior shots with photo matching, and everything else, TM

After playing with 2023 for the entire day (and comparing it to TM renders) this will probably be the last time Lumion gets our money. Raytracing is hella broken when it comes to interior reflections with tinted windows and now they are going to a yearly subscription model. TM/UE5 is free (at least for me, grandfathered in when Epic bought it) and produces insane interior renders. Once I get a better handle on importing to UE5, our firm will have no reason to shell out that kind of money on a yearly basis. Things better improve quickly for them.

any improvements to the 360 render slot? for eg any possibilities to add effects like hyperlight and many more which were not able o add before...can they be added now? Any fixes to stuff like real glass not showing up in mirror planar reflections...is that fixed? mesh light possible now? for illuminating those curved cove lights in false ceilings?

lights don't have the fall-off feature now, also lumion 12 has many features and effects which were totally different from this lumion, natural and artificial lightings are very harsh, and even slight brightness increases the intensity.

Where is HDRI? "Real sky" is not enough. RT doesn't work well. You would do it first.

the subscription model puts us off. We bought a 12.5 license pure for that reason. Noboby wants another subscription.

I was really tired of the shadow glitches from the previous version. I still haven't gotten used to the current version. Lumion definitely needs to do something about Rendering. While the need to change the theme and change the buttons we will use is 20%, our expectation regarding rendering is 70%. I constantly tell my customers that the rendering in this program shows 70% of the real image, so they should not be fooled by the screen. Lumion covers 80% of my business, so I use it. But after Lumion 9, I feel a regression in the program. There should be such a program that we do not need alternatives in the market. What people want is just visually realistic and rendering speed. I see that the comments are as I thought. I think Lumion seems to be losing the market.

I think glass isn't full working with Ray trace yet, not sure

The number of bounces influences this I think. Depending on the complexity of the internal bounces, you will have to increase this number to really see the reflection, and then my friend, things are going to be slow kkkk

Global illumination with raster render doesn't work ? Why ? I also noticed errors in landscape painting . When you switch on satellite map you don't see painted areas as in Lumion 12.5 .

of course not. This has always been an annoyance with me. Because THEY have to create the drivers for it. Funny... Epic/TM/Unreal had no issues with 3dconnexion...

Not worth the money - just tried to work a current model in it - - glitches in interface - created a phantom lump in a screen - the lights can't move in the axis like before - crap - will be demanding my money back in the morning - back to Lumion 12
