My family left Makeni in 1990. We lived first in Ropollon near what was the Makeni Teachers' College at that time, then moved to Makama on the grounds where Starburst Park is presently located. There are a great many changes since that time. Thank you for your amazing tour.

Good effort! I struggle to see one modern house throughout the video. The catch is this, all of us in the diaspora have to love our home by investing back home. Have one nice looking house at home and help in your own little way to develop the city.

As an indigene of Makeni City living in the US I found this video very refreshing, but also with mixed feelings. There is lot of infrastructural developments, but also a semblance of neglect in developing the roads in some key parts of the city, especially where some of the key institutions of the city are located. I heard the electricity network is great, but don’t know whether there is running pipe borne water system. Overall, I appreciate the efforts of the presenters glaringly showing some great parts of the city, and as a Kaloko family member, the family’s home and mosque. At the same time, the presentation also shows much needs to be done in some key areas. I hope the city council leadership will have the time to review the video and make plans to do more. Thank you so much. Dr. Yahya Kaloko

Thank you so much for the nice and interesting video. You actually made my day. I was born and raised in Makeni and my dad was the Paramount Chief of Makeni, Bombali Shebora Chiefdom for so many years. Its a pity my father's street named after him (Kamal St) was neglected completely and its in a deplorable state. Just like you said, its where the power house is located. Please whosoever is responsible for these side roads should be ashamed to even claim he or she is from Makeni. I know there was money allocated to make all these roads. Some people don't believe in infrastructure. I know them all, shame on you again. The stadium is a mess only the main streets are decent. God save us all.
