For big blank walls on large skyscrapers, I have three words for you Large Video Billboards This effect could be accomplished by having a section of copper bulbs that turn two different patterns on and off. Like a person bringing a drink to their lips or something similar. Just the silhouette of it, kinda like those old neon signs that flashed between two states to advertise a bar or something.

That new building has a fun design/shape. The only way I can think of how Zed got a villager riding a chicken is he had to wait for a zombie villager chicken jocky to spawn, which I didn't even know existed, and cured it. Thus allowing the baby villager to mature, still riding the chicken. That's nuts!

Absolutely love the BOP N GO shop front. When you go into a bank the ATM machines are always pretty symmetrical so it tracks. Lol I still love the "BOP N GO" name too, very skizzleman. Love that you two are on the server together 😊

I thought the same, symmetry is not always bad or good, just like how non-symmetry is not always bad, or good. A modern city would obviously use both. It just depends on the situation and an ATM being symmetrical is perfectly fine.

20:50 you can make it so your storage automatically crafts blocks for you. You can also make it split so you get both crafted and uncrated quartz. And then shulker load it. I did it at my farm and it’s amazing.

Even if Joel gave the go ahead on the skyscraper, the placement of the skyscraper goes against the togetherness vibe of the season, I want to give the criticism with the notion that I enjoy everything impulse is doing this season, but the skyscraper placement isn't good for cohesive flow. I think the skyscraper would look awesome more towards the center, obviously impulse has a plan and I support the trust the process mentality, but I don't love blocking off Joel when he has made the effort to join in.

Not sure what the ultimate plan is for the cyberpunk city is, but offer the penthouse estate of the tallest building to Joel as a gift. Since you're gonna block the view to his japanese cyberpunk build with the giant skyscraper, that can be a good compromise. He can still have a nice viewing deck to his town with the penthouse estate. Would be a nice collaboration as well as I'm sure he'll want to do the interior to his own penthouse mansion. Maybe Joel will be going for a Japanese Yakuza boss. Heard the guy's starting a fight club. 🤔

Edit: Impulse responded to what happened (not necessarily my comment) in the VOD on his second channel "Don't Poke The Bear!" released 13 hours ago, a day after this episode went out. In it he asks Bdubs about it at around 58:24. 11:57 I agree! Light gray terracotta is a fantastic block. 24:35 Wouldn’t it make for a better skin color for Bdubs, don’t you think? Otherwise that graffiti looks like a white-washed Bdubs. I know who did it on stream so if it were Bdubs himself who created it, I suppose it wouldn’t be an issue. But it was a bunch of white hermits who were present and created/approved of it which is why I’m unsurprised none of you caught it. Even now with it pointed out, I doubt any of you even thinks it’s an issue at all. I know I’m going to get flack for this comment from your white audience. But I’m a part of your audience too. Many people of color are. Many children of color, for that matter. Despite 10 years of HC, Bdubs is still the only PoC on Hermitcraft. 1/27. (Women dropped in ratio from 5/26 to 5/27 from S9 to S10 but that’s just another issue the majority don’t see as an issue but the point of this comment is Bdubs so I’ll let that lie.) Representation matters. It would be nice not to see Bdubs white-washed all season long. There’s plenty of fan art that already does that. Thanks for reading my comment whether you change it or not. I get the desire for representation and I also vouch for the skin to get changed, but at the end of the day you have to manage expectations and understand where you can demand rep and where not to place those needs. Hermits are a collective of artists who make group based decisions and are constantly talking to one another, Bdoubs will probably talk to them about it if he wants to or someone else will change it for him, at the end of the day Hermits are not part of any agency, they are not a business conglomerate or managers of mainstream media, they are friends who play Minecraft. They don't owe us representation the same way cc's don't owe us personal information, they get to add to their invite-only SMP whoever they want, and any problem they face they will resolve between them and any problems we may encounter on the fandom (I have seen some white washed Bdoubs and they are as tragic as they sound, but racism be everywhere) is our problem to resolve.

I love the idea of a cyberpunk city being like Blade Runner, a dense city with huge buildings where the ground level feels almost underground, cables, neon signs, tight crammed, tall, deep, layers, higher levels only accessible by landing platforms.. so cool

*@impulseSV* 23:58 The wall should really be 2 blocks thick (maybe with 1 hollow space between, aka 3 thick not solid). In this way, graphiti on one side will not be "mirrored" wrong on the "back side", instead they can build a duplicate correctly on that other side too. And a thicker wall also allows for more 3D effects in the wall. The 1 hollow space, can be used for flat art that is "double sided" (not affected by mirroring, it's symmetric) by removing the outer walls & building in the middle space.

I think a fun idea for the skyscraper to be a thing until it is built all the way up would be to use some copper grating to make it look like there are some unfinished beams being put up. Maybe it could look like rebar or something!

Regarding the dropper game, with inspiration from Mumbo's amazing base entrance system, it would be fun if to start the dropper game you had to throw a snowball at a llama with a relevant name like "Dropper Llama" and get spit off the edge, that way if you die while playing the game you'd get the chat message "ImpulseSV was doomed to fall by Dropper Llama"

For the blank wall... I think of LOTS of advertising in cyberpunk... That whole wall could be a giant billboard advertisement for something... Also for your Bop N Go ... one way to have it not be symetrical... one side could be busted up, broken vandalized... And in dystopian cities... I picture lots of people crowding the street with little carts trying to sell whatever they can to make a buck. Maybe at the base of Joel's stairs have a crowded little market of stalls, barrels, litter, trash, you name it...

I think I know how The Oddity that walks onscreen with Zedaph at 21:38 came into being. Minizombies (worded that way to avoid YT automodding JUST IN CASE) have a chance to spawn in as a Villager Zombie variant. They also happen to have a chance to spawn in as a Chickenjockey variant. Zed found one that was both, and then cured the Zombie, resulting in a Villager riding a Chicken. That Villager then grew up and became a Librarian with Mending.

Skyscraper alternate idea: instead of the falling dodge minigame, how about a swimming minigame sorts (inspired based on worlds largest swimming pool in dubai) you can also have a glass wall in centre to look in middle while hermits are attempting the game.

Idea for the tower, split the inside in half! First the hermit goes one side via a shulker levitation course then they do the fall game one the other side. Maybe have the dividing wall be stained glass to resemble cyberpunk forcefield!

I second the TGCommander crane suggestion…. further, I suggest it be the take off point for the dropper game. This allows visibility to Joel’s area to continue, a very punk feel to the start of the game, the body of the crane could be the staging area with bed, chest, instructions, etc. For a proper dropper, you were going to need to dig down, anyway.🤷‍♀️ Seems like a win-win. 😉 I concede I don’t know all your plans, like how this game connects to others. Just an idea.

It feels too even with the road now, which makes the space very wide instead of the city feel. I think adding an elevated sidewalk would really bring both sides of the road together! Just an opinion and suggestion :)

Just finished watching the previous upload exactly as this one was uploaded! Talk about timing man. Loving it so far. I honestly would consider having Joel move his gate to line up with the street, should be easy to do and I feel like that could look pretty cool long term with all the other buildings popping up. It'll leave a nice view up to his base.

Commenters, correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe "old muggins" is a term used to refer to oneself as a stupid person when having to do something silly or undesired.
