Larry is one of the few guys who loved - and still loves - Elvis Presley the man, not just Elvis Presley the superstar and legend and it's clear he knows more about Elvis than we ever will. If only Elvis had more friends like Larry, he may have lived longer. Larry has spoken very highly of Elvis and sees the bigger picture of Elvis, whereas us fans only saw Elvis Presley the image. Elvis is probably looking down smiling on Larry saying, "Thank you, man". RIP, Elvis. You will never be forgotten and your legacy will live on forever. Your music is immortal. And to Larry: Thank you for your kindness to us fans and Elvis, as well as your loyalty to Elvis. You're a first-class gentleman, Sir.

@@susyq810 , thank you. Larry and Elvis had a great deal in common and it's easy to see why they became friends. They were pretty much like brothers. So many of the other guys were only there for the money and the lifestyle, including that phoney "Colonel", probably the worst - no, actually THE worst - manager in history. No manager is worth 50% of their client's earnings, regardless of how good they are at their job.

@@susyq810, you're welcome and thank you for the kind words. Larry truly cared about Elvis. I think Elvis knew that and knew that Larry was there for him as a friend and not for what he could gain from Elvis, unlike many others who sponged off him. Elvis was no idiot. He eventually saw that many of the guys were only there for the money and the lifestyle and the Colonel was one of them. Charlie Hodge was a great friend Elvis had too. Charlie never said a bad word about Elvis. Also, Charlie was famous before he met Elvis, so he didn't leech off Elvis' name, like many of the others did, but of course, he will always be best remembered for his connection to Elvis.

There's not much that hasn't been said about Elvis, but one of the best qualities he possessed was his complete professionalism and work ethic. So many stars, especially of Elvis' era, were prima donnas... demanding, entitled, late, and unprepared. Elvis, at the pinnacle of stardom, was respectful of others' time and obligations... showed up on time and prepared. Elvis would have been an excellent person in any line of work. If he worked at Burger King he would have been great, loved, and respected.

Tupelo Mem “Gods favorite masterpiece to date.” ?? Really? Elvis ? How about Jesus..? Gods only son that gave his own life for us and our sins. Elvis was no Jesus and certainly wasn’t “Gods favorite masterpiece” Elvis was a drugged out star that killed himself with drugs and ultimately pride because everyone around him told him he was killing himself. Get so sick of everyone acting like this man was a God. I love him as an entertainer and he CERTAINLY had a tremendous amount of redeeming qualities as a person, but also a cautionary tale.

@@nfcboys1984 I feel like Larry led him down a bad path. He made Elvis spiritually confused, which I believe made all aspects of his life more problematic. I think he also did drugs with him. He gave him books on scientology among other things. Lisa Marie became a member of Scientology at the request of Elvis (and Larry) until she had the sense to leave in the 90s. Long story short, there is something very off about Larry Geller. The "God's greatest masterpiece" remark doesn't surprise me, is he Christian? I believe he was born Jewish.
@nfcboys1984
@nfcboys1984 4 жыл бұрын
Sir Klopp well said sir. There is something off about Larry. Satan ALWAYS uses elements of truth to twist or pervert Gods will and plan for our lives. I believe Elvis knew Christ but as you said, was terribly confused and had people like Larry feeding all kinds of new age BS. Fame is a double edged sword. I do wonder if Elvis would have continued the extensive drug use in today’s day and age? With so many resources and awareness for drug addiction I can’t help but think that he would have cleaned himself up. Elvis also had severe auto immune/genetic defects, enlarged heart, poor eye sight, impacted bowels and much more. He was very healthy until the last ten years of his life. The last three years (39-42), Elvis had to have round the clock medical care by a doctor or nurse or both. Unreal how sick this man was and was still working!

Larry I almost cried listening to you talk. I was a big Elvis fan like millions of other. I wrote a Christmas song call (Merry Christmas Elvis) by James McQueen in memory of Elvis. It is on You Tube. I've wrote several song about Elvis because I loved him so much. He was my itel growing up and as young man. We were both a lot alike in many ways except looks and talent which i didn't have. I even wrote a true story, a book called (A Child's Love for God and Elvis) which my grandaughter put on Amazon for me. I was working at the hospital when they brought Elvis in 8/16/1977 the day he passed away and watched as they arrived. I now own the medical equipment Dr. Nick use on Elvis trying to save his life with letters and papers. I was there when It happened and I'll never forget that day. It's all in the book I wrote. I'm not a smart man and I;m not a writer but it is a true story. I was a lot like like Elvis in many ways growning up , we didn[t have alot of money , I loved my parents just like Elvis and took a lot of kidding about how I looked like Elvis did. We didn't have a home until i was about 16 years old and had to live with other people and in a 60 foot long hall way for about a year. Any way Elvis made me think so much of my self because he was so shy at first, I was alos very shy because people made fun of me. Any way I just wanted you to know I loved your story and and i still love Elvis. James McQueen (Mac) mcnell4@att.net God Bless You Larry.

Elvis outgrew them all, including Colonel Parker. That's why Parker burned the spiritual books after Elvis fell and knocked himself out in 1967. Parker took back the control and made Elvis sign a new agreement giving Parker 50% instead of the previous 25% of earnings. I'm really praying I can stop hating Colonel Parker.
@Della624
@Della624 7 ай бұрын
@@jenniferlloyd9574 If you're praying to stop hating Tom parker, then listen to this. All of the contracts with Elvis can be viewed online, they were used in Priscilla's attempt to take Parker to Court in the early 1980's. Every single one of them were legitimate. The only Contract that mentions 50% was the Merhcandise and Licensing Sales (they did not exist before Parker blazed the way) and that wasn't Parker's cut, it was the Company handling the sales, pitches, staff, contract, wages and so on and so on, Boxcar. Parker took 25% and Elvis took the other 25% simply for allowing Parker to sell his NIL (Name Image and Likeness). Here's something else, Larry Geller is a proven shyster, a liar who promotes himself into important positions with Elvis. Geller was hardly around. He was a runner who ran when Elvis called for some books. They talked spirituality and that was it. Not anything personal, not a confidant. Larry Geller gives me the same creeps that Priscilla does. BOTH stalked Elvis to be close to him, both admit to an obsession before meeting him and acted on that obsession, and now both ride the tails of Elvis' corpse to make them money. I don't pray to stop hating anyone, I don't hate anyone, no matter how much I destest the actions of these so called friends and ex-wife. There is so much evidence of the absolute contrary to what the "popular" opinion is of Parker but I guess for some it's easier to just hate rather than do any kind of research - and I'm not talking about reading books. Geller perpetuates the hate towards Parker because he knows it pricks the ears of the uninformed

So sad! Larry was the one true friend Elvis had in his life. ALL of the others in Elvis' inner circle didn't care about Elvis. Elvis was a money machine to them and that's all they care about - the damn money! Elvis was looking to free his spirit, and Larry was the one who could help Elvis do that. They didn't want Elvis to free himself - especially Parker! Just as Elvis was about to have a break through and shake things up, his tired unhealthy body gave out and he collapsed of a heart attack. So tragic ad very sad. Thank you Larry for being the decent, caring you are, and for being Elvis' one true friend when he really needed you. May God bless you! Thank you Elvis for sharing yourself, your talent -- and your soul - with the world. RIP!

Hello from England I was 12 when ELVIS died. I have been a FAN ever since There are very few ‘left’ that new ELVIS as watching videos about ELVIS and his ‘backstory’ it makes me think so much more about the time that has passed - 50 +years LARRY is one of the ‘last men standing’. Jerry Schilling is another and he is 80 in February ELVIS fans like myself are so blessed to see LARRY ‘chatting’ with you and telling his ‘stories’ and memories of those days I know we all have different opinions about ‘things’ back then but WE WERE NOT THERE Larry should I hope have NO REGRETS I am SURE there were MANY MORE of the GOOD TIMES than BAD We as humans are never perfect but LARRY and the rest were good decent people who did their best ❤️❤️❤️❤️🥲🥲🥲🥲👍 👍 👍 😭😭😭👌🏻👌🏻❤️❤️

These are people who actually knew him ,it is so hard to wrap your head around it. WOW! There is a documentary The Rebirth of Elvis Presley and Gary talks about Elvis and there times together. It is so cool to listen to him. Anyway thank you.

Larry Geller was one of the most credible and intelligent men in Elvis Presley's life. I at the time was not a regular Elvis Presley fan. What I mean by this is that I did not become a fanatic I was an admirer and I loved him from afar appreciated that this man was given a gift from God. And now when I go into the KZbin platform I appreciation than even before the impact of our hearts and souls that I did not pay attention to before. I will leave that Elvis Presley's voice what's anointed by the divine

Larry met Elvis at the right time. I catch all of Larry’s interviews, yet learn something new & extraordinary every time he reminisces. I need to read Larry’s 2007 book, ‘Leaves of Elvis’ Garden,’ so I can learn more than a 1-3 interview could uncover. watch Larry’s interview where he speaks about doing Elvis’s hair for the final time…it will squash any “recent Elvis siting,” BS that people make up. it made me feel sick & disappointed that I ever wanted to believe that he could still be alive & out there, because Larry’s recount of the experience is one of the most humbling experience stories ever told. Larry’s Elvis-Beatles meeting story is probably the God’s Honest truth, while the Liverpool Lads all told different versions. I have to believe everything that Larry says, though I see him as a protector of Elvis, and know that that’s what real friends do.
