I wold have only shown Cecil from the neck down, to preserve the fact that no one knows what he looks like, at all. But apart from that...THIS IS PURE AWESOMENESS.

Seconded.
@FireEmblemForceman8110 жыл бұрын
This isn't completely true. In the first or second episode, if you look at the image you see Cecil's head, though that might not be canon. However, if you only listened to the podcast, unlike me who watched it on KZbin, you will not have been able to notice that.

I agree that not showing the full face would have preserved that artistic mystery as to the fact cecil the characters never been fully detailed. And while i think this was very well made considering a low budget the cecil in this one's eyes kept doing weird eye and expression wandering that felt to take away from the experience. Hope to see more! Keep it up :)

This was really brilliant guys. The only slight suggestion I would have is that some of the (very appropriate) music tends to overwhelm Cecil's dialogue in parts. Disparition in the broadcast is very subtle. Other than that, I hope your are considering or currently in film school.

I can always imagine a perfect visual for episodes like this, but sometimes I mix up visuals with otherr media. I've never looked it up. /I like most of the noises and music you added in. The hawk noise was a bit startling though. /So the guy reaches up and inadvertently cuts his own throat against the knife. I wonder if he dies right there, reaching for the dark planet of awesome size.

One of the hard things about making an adaption to Nightvale is that if you import the medium, the value of it changes. Kind of like how some books strongly rely on the narration more than the description, and thus when you put it on a TV so much os lost unless you completely change it. If there really ever is one, I'm curious to see how they will change the constant calm surprise that you feel as you listen. This seems promising.

So a few things bothered me (the moonlight diner not being a diner, the apache track not being played by an apache guy - I'm pretty sure, at least?, having an actor for Cecil) -- but it was filmed well, and that title sequence was genius. A pretty fair adaptation of my favourite episode

I feel as though the actual episode shouldn't have been played over this. They should have just acted it out, with Cecil's broadcast coming in only when the story mentioned it coming in. If we're watching this, we likely already know the story. Also, it would have fixed the many sound problems. Furthermore, the lack of being spoon-fed what was happening would have created the immersive weirdness that the original show does so well.
