In just a few years, Nigeria has climbed the cinematic ladder and pushed Tinseltown into third (with Bollywood in India holding the top spot). Today, Nigeria is inundated with aspiring moviemakers whose productions are generating multi-million-dollar blockbusters and the obligatory glamorous red carpet events.
Our Reporters team travelled to a vibrant and camcorder-dominated Lagos in the midst of the African International Film Festival (Afriff) - the largest of its kind on the African continent - to meet with some of Nigeria’s most prominent directors, producers and actors.

Why would you want Hollywood to move its studios. Grow instead. Colonial mentality much
@alegbekehinde8753
@alegbekehinde8753 3 жыл бұрын
What he meant by Hollywood moving its studios is that at the rate Nollywood is growing its quality, budget and content might begin to rival that of Hollywood if not surpass it. That alone could make them start looking for that African market share. It's already happening tho. Disney recently announced it's now has some Nigerian based animation just like wakanda soon to be released.
