Fun fact: Nigerian music industry and Nollywood BUILT Ghanaian entertainment industry! Yet these African countries sometimes even Ghana feel the need to attack Nigeria and spread hate. Thinking by bringing Nigeria down you will shine See outside, all they see is Africa they dont know who is who, so if you bring down people who are showing off Africa to the world out of jealousy, you are also cutting yourself off opportunities!

This man is talking nonsense... Nigerian government don't give any kind of support to the Nigerian citizens, it was an individual effort that got the movie and music industry where they are. When you guys talk about how come Nigerians are successful in the music and movie industry, you forget one thing... Talent.

Nollywood was booming across Africa before Ex President Goodluck Jonathan provided more funds for them. So do not think that the funds provided to Nollywood for expansion is the reason for its success.

they did AFTER THEY REALIZED MOMEY WAS COMING FROM THERE. WHEN IT WAS ADDING TO THE COUNTRY'S GDP. ELSE IT HAS BEEN PRIVATE FUNDING AND THAT WAS WHAT BROUGHT NOLLYWOOD TO THE LIMELIGHT

I like the guy.. He’s logical and I loved where he said international recognition is not the hall mark of success... Except where Nollywood is 98 percent privately funded! The remaining 2 percent is occasionally when the government or private banks get involved!

I didn't really understand what you tried saying about nollywood, but as a Nigerian who follows entertainment industry closely, investment has always been by private investors, not government. It has been a wrong notion other Africans usually have about our entertainment industry. Nigerian government hasn't invested in more vital industries like education, health, power, etc is it entertainment that they will have the mind to invest in?

I live in the Caribbean and the Only movies they sell there are American Movies and Nigerian Movies. Nigerian Movies is big in the Caribbean, on most Island there. i have never seen a South African movie, but i have watched thousand of Nigerian movies and a few Ghana movies. But American and Nigerian Movies dominate the Caribbean for sure.
