Funny story I thought the Sonne's would appreciate here. As a young 18 year old intern at an engineering company I went to spend a week working with the E&I shop to learn how to wire control panels. The crew was a bunch of Good Old Boys who had lots of fun with me all week. At some point they told me I had cut a wire too short and I needed to hunt for a wire stretcher they had loaned to a guy on the shop floor. I spent half a morning going from guy to guy hunting for a wire stretcher and I looked up wire stretchers on google and the only hit i could find is one of these Fence wire stretchers. That's when I realized that Wire Stretcher was pretty much like headlight fluid and I went tearing into those guys in the E&I shop as they laughed their asses off.

Double entendre quote of the day from Cole: "This is my crankin' arm!" LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
@gregflaming313 жыл бұрын
Anyone that builds fence deserves a thumbs up. My most hated job on the farm. A pickup left in neutral (not by me) was rolling down the hill towards a fence. Jumped out of the tractor and went after it. Got the door open, pickup bounced, I fell and the front tire ran over my leg. Good thing we didn't know about no-till. My leg got pushed down into the soft dirt instead of breaking. Pickup went through the fence right over an ant den. Backed the disk up and sat on it while I fixed the fence. Also, would have loved a bobcat, I had to hand drive the t-posts.

I worked for a guy that fenced as a side income business to his beef operation. We put 4 rolls on our unroller. The key is to roll them on the ground so they don't give those extra spins. You tighten the wire closest to the post. Start from the top down on the posts. Worked well for us.

Cole, try taking a piece of steel pipe with an internal diameter slightly larger than the post as well as longer than the post when it's sitting on the T. That way the force of the hammer will be directed lower on the post without striking the top of the post itself. Helped us in the past.

also use arrow head to punch in post with your pipe hit at the bottom not the top

My cousin in Camp Point , Illinois .Tells a story about his neighbor an old cattle feeder. At a certain time a day if you pulled into his place.The first thing you'd ask are you filling the Horse Tank. If the answer was of course . It was a dumb question to ask. When ever he filled the Horse Tank if his hat was on backwards he was filling the Tank. That's how he knew the hydrant was still running.! ! !

Hey Cole., I've never pulled off Barbwire before, but I've pulled miles and miles of video and audio cable off of Spool's. If I may make a humble suggestion, put a spacer between your spools so they can't touch each other. I'm guessing probably just a 2 to 3 inch piece of PVC Should do the trick, and if you could come up with some sort of large fender washer to go between the PVC and the spool they should totally spin freely of each other, just a thought. Great video, keep up the great work, it's awesome seeing you and your dad working together.

You also need to run a water pipe up in the middle of the tank and put a valve on . Then it doesn't freeze because it's under water just chop the ice in the morning for the cattle to start drinking and you're good to go. And you don't have to mess with hydrants and floats. It makes an automatic water out of it
