Today, I am officially launching Project React. This is a course where you learn React by building a real-world project. I have been secretly working on this for months and I am beyond excited to finally be able to share this with you!
You will learn React by building a big and complex application that has navigation, data fetching, forms, state management, authentication, design patterns, and so much more. You will finally see how all of the different pieces come together in a real-world React project.

i have completed the project react. but i have noticed the user cannot access the home page without signing in. usually this is not the case in booking websites. you can access the listing page and also the detailsPage of particular hotel without signing in. but if you want to favourite it , then it redirects it to sigin page. so how can i achieve this functionality where i want to show the listing and the hotelDetail page without signing in. but if i click the favourite button then it should take me to the sigin page. any kind of \help from anyone would be helpful

When react v19 comes out will u be updating the course if you use things like use effect? Not sure if you do

React 19 only affects about 5% of the course. It's still months away and Extended will come out even before then. But yes I will probably put an update when it makes sense

I don’t know any tailwind. Can I take the course and still learn how to style larger projects like these in plain CSS?

The course uses tailwind, but it shouldn't be a problem. The styles we apply are relatively simple. However this course focuses more on React than styling

@@AlphaPlus9 yes we use tailwind to style everything in the project, but I don't spend too much time on explaining how to apply the correct tailwind CSS classes. We focus more on React code and logic

This looks like a great course! But it's a tad bit frustrating that the entire course is written using javascript as opposed to typescript. All of your videos seem to use Typescript, I understand that it's about accessibility but in the real world React devs really should be learning typescript. Any chance of a more advanced course using typescript?

Believe me I would've wanted to make it in TS. But a lot don't know it unfortunately. Depending on how this one goes, I'll adjust!

@@cosdensolutions There is also one quick solution before Darius updates the course with Typescript - we can follow this course along and just try to implement Typescript ourselves instead of JS. It will help us to see the difference and to learn by doing

@@JakubWazowski typscript stops the flow, it takes focus out of react, ive taken 4 ts based react courses and i couldnt complete any of them till end, so its better to use TS ourselves
