I think it’s tied to operation phoenix and the central dim curve we saw in the last season. We see other threats emerge like tammy and morty. So im assuming that he did something in the other galaxies to make him hide in these ones but she found and tracked him down and morty is trying to get out. I think rick lived his life before and thats why he tried to off himself in the first season- because he knows the tragedy that will repeat forever. Also this makes the whole ricks are hermit crabs reference a bit deeper and would explain operation Phoenix

One US dollar is always worth one US dollar, and one apple will always be worth one apple, even if nobody wants to buy apples. Then, people would arbitrage the prices, and a few people would get extremely rich, but the prices would tend back to the norm eventually.

That's was said in one rick and Morty project. Only humans get paid in pills, cause they are pathetic creatures that don't deserve to be paid. After the collapse gromphlomith (hope i wrote that write" were stuck without food and only source for them to eat was rare disquieting eatable garbage or their own eggs. Later they escaped from this planet and found shitest jobs in galaxy. After sometime they created new federation and started using other currency. Ik ricks knowledge on interdimensonal travel was invaluable but they really should’ve just left the brainalyzer on and not try to talk to Rick at all. They would’ve successfully killed him because even though Rick would know where he is he couldn’t possibly find a way to escape. The Federation wouldn’t have fallen and they could realistically raid Ricks lab post mordum to find what there looking for.
