I think the scariest thing about starclan isn't the possibility that they are masterminds who have it all planed out, and are in control of everything. It's that, as the books have shown, they are just as prone to mistakes as the mortal cats bellow, they just don't admit it. And the thought that the spiritual force that you count on and prey to, in the face of all dangers, both natural and supernatural, is just as prone to mistakes, lies, pettiness, and stagnation as you is terrifying. Like seriously, every time Starclan manages to screw up again, I am more and more convinced that Sol was definitely right.

I love this! I actually have a personal au where at some point, Firestar snaps and wants to know why Star clan is like this, especially towards his daughter. So, he does some mean girls style research (pretending to go along with it for information) and finds out that the creators of the clans should actually probably be in the dark forest and they have been taking over cats who join starclan slowly so that nothing can change for the better. (Which explains why starclan cats change so much from pre-death)

firestar with lil eyelashes is a BIG BRAINED TAKE. i also love how firestar's face is shaped. he's not super handsome nor ridiculously soft. he's balanced in a way that's recognizable while still portraying his soft character (presumably) tigerstar is also so BIG and menacing compared to firestar. not only is it important to his own character,it also emphasizes how YOUNG rusty was and is as a clan cat. he likely graduated at only 7 or 8 moons,he was and is up against a very powerful cat with years of experience compared to him who's only hesitation when it comes to killing him is that he wants firestar to watch his world burn

YES SOMEONE SHOWING FIRESTAR'S ANGER He would be _furious_ if he knew even half of the shit StarClan put his daughters through. Every single prophecy in the series always seems to have a "price" for the characters to pay to fufill it. Bluestar giving up her kits to become leader, Brambleclaw killing his half-brother to save his leader, and so on and so forth. But Firestar never seemed to have any "specific" price that wouldn't have happened otherwise if it wasn't for the prophecy. Bluestar would always break when Tigerclaw betrayed her, and stuff like that. So I always headcanoned that the price of his prophecy, of becoming such a great leader, was the suffering of his daughters.

@@Parasolhyena Yup. And throughout Firestar’s Quest, there are multiple hints that Firestar’s trust in StarClan is broken after they allowed SkyClan to be driven out. Only reason he still puts forth their judgement is because their prophecies are the only things keeping the Clans alive. Given that the Clans would have died at multiple points in the storyline without StarClan. And A Vision of Shadows was a nice breath of fresh air because the events that occurred weren’t entirely their fault. All they knew was that SkyClan had to return. They never knew that Darktail took over the gorge. However, it could have been prevented if they managed to convince Onewhisker (even subtly) that Darktail should become a WindClan warrior.

THIS! THIS RIGHT HERE! With these new books Starclan has COMPLETELY changed, and I’ve been having so many off feelings reading anything involving them. This is why, they no longer seem like a great life guiding resting place for the good, but a corrupt cult who say things yet never do what they say. They want the living to follow their morals but their morals are corrupt. Everyone who dies and goes to starclan change. They become more rigid and less open. They don’t even try to accept changes that the living are making. Times change, and that means rules have to be able to mold with the change. Starclan is stopping this from happening, which is ultimately what is destroying the clans. When Starclan first came to be, the spirits and leaders actually shared tongues and bonded, now Starclan sends them a vision of a blade of grass and tells the clans to figure it out for themselves. Something happened in Starclan while the clans evolved, and I would love if the Erins decided to take this route instead of dragging out the “mistakes” the living are making. It’s Starclan who’s making the mistakes, it’s gunna take a real special cat to figure this out.

This feels so relatable since StarClan has some cats who didn't deserve to go to StarClan (Like Appledusk, Oakstar, Rainflower, etc.), and even when some of them were kinda fans' opinions (Like Appledusk, Oakstar, etc.) Rainflower didn't even deserve to go to StarClan because she disowned Crookedstar just because of his injury, and also, another thing is they didn't give Nightstar 9 lives, and if you think of it, after Brokenstar was exiled, he lost two lives because of Yellowfang, so he was probably on his 3rd life, so why didn't StarClan give Nightstar 6 lives? And why did StarClan even give Tigerstar and Brokenstar their 9 lives? Also, why did StarClan get a tree to kill Mudclaw after he realized Hawkfrost was manipulating him? Also, about Appledusk being in StarClan and not the dark forest, I heard from Google (I think I read a theory about it..) that even Frecklewish was more innocent than Appledusk, and why did they put Mapleshade in the dark forest if she was only avenging her kits? I would probably do the same thing if I were Mapleshade, because I would most likely be heartbroken if I lost someone who was very close to me. Also, I'm kinda confused about the whole mate thing because it said that it's not unusual to have more than one mate (Ex: Whitestorm, Jake, etc.), and yet, Ashfur was jealous because Brambleclaw was mates with Squilf, and Mapleshade was angry that Appledusk was mating with Reedshine, so did Appledusk want Squilf for himself and Mapleshade want Appledusk for herself, or do both mates have to agree before one of them can mate with more than one cat??
