I think my fave detail (which took me about three rewatches to notice haha) is that at 1:14 the cat who killed moonflower (hawkmask? I can’t recall his name ahh) turns into tigerstar and the shot shows the two chars in the same pose, switching which is which - Bluestar is relating not being able to trust Tigerclaw and almost being murdered to the trauma of loosing of mother

honestly, Bluestar may have had one of the most sad, scary, stressful, hard life in warriors, definetly in the first arc (next to scourge). Snowfur dying, Mosskit freezing, Oakheart dying, finding out Redtail fought him, Redtail being killed by tigerstar. All these cats she loved and trusted so deeply died/betrayed her. Spottedleaf, the dogs, this new kittypet from a crazy starclan message, no wonder she went insane and became one of the worst non-villain cats in the first arc.

Wow I really wasn’t prepared for this map. I lost a dog to canine dementia and even though it wasn’t explicitly said in the books, I consider her good rep for it. Not a lot of people think it can happen to animals but it can. Dementia has to be one of the scariest diseases that can ever happen to someone, especially the poor animals

I have a small but interesting theory that bluestar was getting a bit senile just before she died. Something strange about the irrationality of her actions could have been trauma induced, but other young characters never acted quite the way she did, and chalking it up to insanity isnt quite right either. She was around 7 years old before she died, according to google, and thats apparently the age when cats are considered to be "getting old". Just a thought. In any case, WONDERFUL work done by all participants, and incredibly creative :) Edit; typo lmao

ok at first i thought this was gonna be a complete memefest considering . the southpark and the garfield but then i kept watching and-. bluestar's dementia had been a heartbreaking plotpoint for me, back when i was really into the books. she was kind of my favorite back then because as i saw it she was a leader and she gave rusty an opportunity to change his life, and... that's what i needed back then. escapism. She made things possible that rusty wouldn't have seen otherwise- death and war, but... a home, with cats he could relate to and understand, something to prove, someplace to be, that his humans just couldnt give him. Back then i thought bluestar had sorta adopted rusty, which maybe it was sorta implied that she did in some way but hell if i remember. just... bluestar was important, instrumental even. and then she started winding down, started losing herself, and... it hit too close to home. in that way, this MAP is sort of... cathartic to me. and I don't even need to mention how cathartic the mind electric already is, haha. thank you.
