I bought my first Ovation 1977, Country Artist nylon string. I took around the world 3 times. Still play it today. Last year I was finally able to afford an Adamas. It creates musical dreams for me. When my guitar player friends come over, they fight over who gets to play it. I win every time. Thank you! Blessings, Peace & Prosperity.

Just got my first Ovation this week, an Adamas 1198 GCF, such an incredible guitar, so light, so easy to play and so gorgeous, and of course what a sound! Not the typical Adamas look, but I dig it. Thank you for the quality of your work.

Nice video about excellent guitars. Glen Campbell sure promoted what the Ovation guitar was all about. When he went from the Mosrite brand to Ovation he was making history. Then you saw Neil Diamond, Bobby Goldsboro and others playing Ovation. I am glad Ovation is still around today and not just a memory like some of the great performers. Ovation guitars, a true innOvation in guitar making. Live Long and Prosper.

I have two Ovations: a 1992 Elite Collector series in Angel Step Walnut made in New Hartford, and a mid 90’s Celebrity Elite made in Korea. The mid 90’s one is my everyday guitar. Have been enamoured of these instruments since I first saw Nancy Wilson using one. They sound as beautiful as they look and I can’t walk past the guitar without touching it, hearing it. Nice video, glad to see the New Hartford facility teaming with passion again.

I owned and played a few guitars in my life. When it comes to acoustics, ive sold all but my Ovations. I love the sound, feel, and playability that ive come to expect from my O's. Now that i know you are back in business i will continue to find newer models to purchase. 4 string bass is first on my list. Awesome job to all the craftsmen that pour their hearts into every build. You have won me over since the '70's. 🎸

Ive used Ovation acoustics primarily for.... 1996 ? I think is when i got my Green Elite Standard. 1997 I got a Balladeer 12 string. Both USA made in New Hartford. My GF's father worked there and got me the two guitars for xmas back to back years. Neither guitar has needed ANY work on them. Not even a neck adjustment. Unreal. I own many guitars, but its pretty rare to find acoustics that need zero work on them. Also mine are in amazing shape still and i toured with mine for decades. Glad to be hearing more about Ovation again. About 3-4 years ago I got one of the newer over seas models and was blown away. Its different than the USA models, but it has its own thing going that is indeed great. Only complaint was the neck had a clear coat on it and the USA models I own are more of a Satin or natural finished neck.

I purchased my first Ovation back in 1981, and it was not until the late 1990s that I switched to my current Adamas SMT. (I still own both.) The first time I saw an Ovation in action was during an Al di Meola, John Laughlin, and Paco de Lucia concert in Germany, (also back in 1981). Due to various medical woes, I seem to rarely play anymore, though I was a gigging musician for many years. Good times! :)

I was in New Hartford today. My wife was going to a quilt shop in the same building your factory was in. But I didn’t see any signs for Ovation. Did you move? I have a solid body Ovation Viper and thought it was cool that I ended up going to a building built in the 1840s that my guitar was probably made at.

Do you still make a doubleneck? If so, where can I get one? If not why not? I had an ovation in 1973. I bought it in Seattle. I ended up giving it to a folk singer whose guitar was destroyed when she took it on an airplane and checked it in as baggage. The last I heard about four years ago she still had the ovation. It was a Glenn Campbell model as I recall. I really liked it.

I would love to get an Adamas I, GT Non-Cutaway (1687GT-8-G) as a 12-string. I'm a huge 12-string person and currently own an Applause Balladeer AB2412-4 12-string guitar. I've had it since Christmas of 2016 (I was 19 years old when I got it). It's an good guitar with a ton of history to it. I've led praise and worship nights in my youth group with it as well as taken it on retreats to play, I've played it at my church in the adult choir. I love the round back and the light weight of the Ovation guitar. However, the action on my Applause Balladeer is a little high going down the fretboard making it a tough guitar to play. I've taken it to a few different luthiers and none of them that I've taken it to has been able to fix it, they're afraid to touch it. But, because I do like Ovation guitars, I would so love to have one of these Adamas model guitars as a 12-string!

Ive got a cheap shallow bowl cc48. I had my eye on a Gibson G45-tried the Ovation on a whim. It was far more sonorous and comfortable to fly. You have to beat it to death to knock it out of tune. Walked home with the Ovation. No regrets. If only I could find a gigbag for it...

A pre-announced video about the holy grail, the US manufacturing of Adamas guitars! Most people don't even know Ovation is still existing. Most of the rest thinks US production has stopped! And guess what? Not a single line on this on their Instagram account. Not a single Twitter message for over a year. Social media strategy from hell.

Sorry but the announcement for the video was done today ? Facebook & Instagram - we actually don’t see Twitter as a major communication plattform as most of our customers and friends are using FB and Insta. Funny and sad at the same time for ME, a former OVATION LOVER! In the early seventies I bought my first Ovation (BEFORE they had electronics!) LOVED it, so in 1975 I bought 3 MORE (a 6-string GC Custom, a 12-string GC Custom, and the NYLON 1624 Country Artist). In 1980 I purchased a GORGEOUS Natural Custom Legend. I then had FIVE (5) Ovations that I loved... By 1984 I had FOUR (4) Ovations with SPLIT TOPS, in the SAME PLACE!!! (from the bridge to the bottom of the lower bout, STRAIGHT DOWN THE MIDDLE on 3, STRAIGHT DOWN THE MIDDLE, then turned right towards the treble side and lifted about 3 inches on the CUSTOM LEGEND!) The ONLY one that hasn't split is the NYLON one, which I still play TODAY. Sorry Ovation, ONE would be a "FREAK THING", TWO would be a "COINCIDENCE", but FOUR is way BEYOND acceptable... I had no choice but to take my business ELSEWHERE, and never looked back. Still love my NYLON, and on the 'bright side", believe it or not, the CUSTOM LEGEND with the "lifted top", STILL holds TUNE! LOLOLOLOL... GO FIGURE! ;)

I have a Balladeer Glenn Campbell manufactured in 1973. It’s still wonderful to play and sounds great. But there are a lot of really crappy Ovation lookalike guitars out there, some of them made by subsidiaries like Applause. Ovation needs to keep the quality high and especially not make designs available for cheap imitations.

@@donaldcook3112 fair enough. It's probably just an individual preference. I feel the same in regards to the Breedlove headstock logo change from the stylistic 'B' to the word 'Breedlove.' The headstock shape of the Seagull acoustics seem weird to me also!
