Armand absolutely HAS to be this hot. In my teenaged mind when I first read the books, he was always the most attractive. This man pulled a mopey, depressed Louis whose heart was occupied by his daughter and managed to get him to live, more impressive, he got through Marius' single-target romanticism Pandora-addled brain and became his exception. Like... Marius and Pandora are a primeval OTP but Armand made the man love him too, so Armand's pull is mythic levels.

My god Armand exudes power now he's shed the Rashid facade. I'm thinking the cliffhanger ending of S2 might entail Lestat showing up in the modern day and possibly hinting at the Ancients. 😂 did you read the the vampire Lestat? Armand is so hollow. He was a horribly abused, trafficked child. Led a satanic camp cult, led the theater for a while after lestat disbanded the satan cult, he begged Lestat and his Lestat’s mother to take him in and they said hell no. He is given the theater by lestat. Armand kills Claudia to have Louis all to himself under false pretenses of revenge for Lestat. And Lestat is on top in the final book, happily living with Louis, Marius and 100 different undeads in his childhood castle

This show was a tough sell for me. I couldn't even make it through the first episode the first time around because of all the changes, but I'm glad my friend convinced me to give it another shot. Season 1 was actually incredible despite them, and I can't wait for season 2. Also, I really hope the series makes it to season 3 and 4, because The Vampire Lestat is the best book in the series.

I've never read the books, I have only watched the 1994 movie.. But I just got done watching the Blu-ray of season 1 binged all of it, and it was AMAZING I loved every second of it. I'm officially hooked and can't wait for season 2 very excited. I just hope word of mouth, the great reviews, and AMC get behind this show and promote it more, because it just seems like this show isn't getting enough attention and promotion.

I hate we have to wait so long for Season 2. I'm a huge Anne Rice fanatic and had the pleasure of knowing her. The reimagined settings work well. I was skeptical with resetting Season 1 in Storyville New Orleans Turn of the Century as the novel was set with Lestat meeting Louis on his plantation in 1791. The novel had Theatre des Vampyrs set in Belle Époque Paris. Resetting it at the on break of WWII offers some great options to include German Expressionism/Cabaret etc in the the story line. I'm fascinated . Also totally in love with Sam Reid .. he is the perfect Lestat. And love Jacob Anderson too. It is nice to hear actual French and Southern dialect ... over the mediocre movie with Tom Cruise. I personally felt Tom and Brad did not have the right chemistry and that version was so heterosexualized. I am also anxious to see what AMC Interview does with Vampire Lestat book and when they will set Lestat as a rock star. I hope it is in the 80s which is perfect for New Ro Goth era.

We know that Lestat won't be telling his story this season, which means that it's the version of Armand who didn't know human-Lestat (in the books at least). There's also that image about the theater poster with the date and Lestat must have been a vampire already by then (at least according to season 1).
