I was one of the last people to sleep on bretenouex Rd 7am at great expense a road crew came along to put up a barrier all a long the rd . The police wouldn't prosecute the locals for beeping their horns at 3 am but threatened to make me homeless if I didn't move . One rule for them ,heard that before

I think on the mk 2 golfs the nut holding fifth gear together can come loose , its under a green cover on the end of the gearbox , prise the cover off and see if its coming off you can get away with tightening up and knock the tab washer back to lock it . most times all is well. it is caused by going into fifth at to low a speed ,the torque loosens the nut .
