I love the way he's not snobby about synths even though he loves them- "just go and play them on your computer"

Agree on Soft vs Hardware... HOWEVER... It is a ton of fun to work the knobs on the real thing!

Seeing the Sony TC630 reel to reel took me back to 6th form (UK) when I discovered the art dept. had bought a TC630 - and for about 30 minutes I was in heaven making tape loops... (harmonized overdubbed water dribbles if I remember rightly! ) I was so excited I thought I was going to explode - even the smell of the hot electronics made my heart pound. The joy was short lived though - a teacher popped his head round the corner and said 'can you keep the noise down - I'm trying to teach next door'. Idiot. Lesson learnt for me: A suitable environment to create in is paramount. Long time ago... but personal circumstances now mean I can pick up the thread again from when I was 18. The passion will never die!!!!

Lovely. We used to have a couple here in the UK but one guy retired, the other liberated himself and sold the lot.

Insane space! That last electronic improvisation reminds me of some really good patches from Reaktor from their early sequenced synts that I've used almost 20 years ago. Still using them! Powerful tool, Reaktor 😎

Ha ha ‘Night in the Museum’ is a great reference. It would have to be dark vibes John Carpenter/Stranger Things for me. 😎🙏❤️

Nice to open and close on the Steiner Parker synth (though sad that you didn't have the unique Steiner trumpet actuator). I worked very briefly assembling those synths as a part time High School job (SLC, UT -- right before driving a van full of effects pedals out to the 1976 NAMM show for Wasatch Music Systems).

Nothing to do with the video, but I am actually embarrassed at how much time it took me to understand what the new logo represented Only understood this morning when I loaded labs on a project, I was just looking at the UI, and then it hit me ahah
