I've always wanted to visit Winnipeg. It's so isolated geographically, but looks so hip and delicious. Don't forget the Winnipeg Royal Ballet! One of the best, internationally acclaimed ballet troupes.

Great video. Thanks. While Winnipeg is cold in the winter, Winnipeg has beautiful summers which is one of the warmest cities in the nation and among the sunniest cities in Canada. Winnipeg is in the heart of lake country, surrounded by many lakes nearby and very nice beaches on those lakes, which can be very refreshing on one of those 30+ degree days in the summer.

I grew up in Winnipeg and have travelled there many times since to visit friends since I headed west. Winnipeg has many lovely places, architecture, etc., but unfortunately they are spread out and what’s in between is often not pleasant to pass through or look at. I wish the city the best. The city has much potential.

People that dismiss Winnipeg have never been to these places. My favourite place to go to here is The Forks, the history is interesting, the food there is good, I also love that smell when you go in the market🤤. People say the Human Rights Museum is a waste of money but I disagree, I never been there before but I've always wanted to check it out. I also love taking my dog to the Assiniboine Park that's her happy place.

I was grew up 14 miles outside of Winnipeg. Cool to learn more aboot my birthplace. I skated the Red River in Winter 2013 and again in 2022. i think you can rent ice skates at the Forks too.

🇨🇦❤️🇧🇷Canada is a very beautiful country. I love my Brazil, Alagoas. But I dream of one day visiting Canada. When I learn to speak English correctly lol

You don't need to speak English to live in Canada. We accomodate all languages, except in Quebec where they are high discriminative against all other languages except their type of french dialect they only speak. Quebecois are also extremely rude to people and tourists, and unfriendly unlike the rest of Canada.

The exact spot you said looked like a movie set was used in "Violent Night" filmed just before you visited. In the first 5 minutes of the movie you can see they didn't even dress it. It's just Johnny's and Wee Johnny's then Santa is getting drunk down in Wee Johnny's.

Thank you so much for visiting my home. The summer here is amazing as are the cultural events such as the Fringe Festival, Folk Music festival and of course our awesome museums. Just one correction though. Fries, Gravy and Cheese Curds is not said as PouutinE, It is in the local French said as Pou-Tin. Beginner mistake so I'll forgive you this time. Cheers from The Peg.

A look at completly predictable consumer tourism. No fine culture or art just food and spending bs. Missed out on the most unique part of culture like the Winnipeg Royal Ballet, or the world largest Inuit art exibits at the WAG, and some good small native art galleries too. The living musium of Lower Fort Gary or the oldest wooden building in westren Canada, which is the Saint Boniface musium. Then there is still night life with all types of good club and bar venues, pro sports teams, and hip local spots like Osborne Village and it's park life. Next time ask a local for some tips. As well Winnipeg has many good and unique festivals year round. Like the cultual Forklarama in early August, famous music event the Fork Fest in Birds Hill Park in June, and ice scultpting at Festival du Voyageur in Febuary.

As a Winnipegger / Montrealer who speaks just some french (poorly) moving to Montreal is kinda insane. The Quebecois openly discriminate again anglophones daily, systematically and institutionally. So do not move to Montreal, it is horble, I have a BA and on welfare. If you don't speak exactly like the Quebecois they will not hire you unless it is to do a low-end job that has no movement upwards. Even then the francophones here just personally discriminate against the english speakers. The government harms education institutions and do not give any funding to anything anglophone. These things are human rights violation that Justin Trudeau supports, gee I wonder why? So, I plan to move away and get a job in real Canada. Do not even come to Montreal for travel, they are rude here towards tourists. Plus, Montreal is always grey, and it rains nearly everyday or snows nearly everyday. The cement is a dark grey lime stone many of the old building made of the same dull grey to add to the glummy look. Infrastructure is horrible and the city is always a mess. You will see garbage everywhere like the 1970 Bronx. The mayor makes phony promises and has made this city in one vig traffic jam increasing CO2 and other vehicle related pollution by placing unnecessary bike lanes along streets that simple do not need them. Some of the bike lanes are good don't get me wrong, but many are nonsense causing huge traffic jams and are not used much. She can't get anything real done because of Mr. Legault and the CAQ party that is against her and most of Montreal. If maybe this city was separated from the rest of Quebec maybe it could improve, but that could be a few decades yet. One day it will happen though as most Montreallers do not align with that type of government and it is absolutely impossible to now change out the CAQ, as they have support across the rest of the province. So unless you enjoy living in dirt, without a job, dicrimtated openly against by the government and harassed daily by people then I suggest not coming to Montreal.
