if you listen to Lewis close enough in basically all the yoglabs episodes and this, yoglabs is separate from all world governments, and repeatedly gets hit by bombing runs by said world governments. Yoglabs is also planning on doing a world wide invasion for world domination. World governments seem to be targeting yoglabs possibly due to their cloning program and the effect it could have on everybody if used improperly.

You know, maybe Lewis is really evil and stuff about YogLabs because when Simon sacrificed himself, he knew he'd never see his true friend again and had to live with the guilt for the rest of his life. So now he works in Yoglabs and tries to make everything perfect to make Simon's death not in vain.

but Simon wasn't killed, he was just put into permanent stasis that meant he would remember everything except yoglabs whenever he was cloned, when the previous clone inevitably died. but the memories of the clones are fed into the master clone, so Lewis would be able to eventually bring his friend back to normality again. and also they were working against the government at times before that "incident" anyway, so it may have slightly increased since then, but Simon's "death" didn't really affect Lewis much, considering all is fixable in that case.

Well even though he has all those clones, they still really aren't "Simon." They're vague representations of him, and Simon really isn't there in the flesh. And if you see how light hearted and airy it was near episodes 10-30 in comparison to the latest stuff, you can really see a difference in Lewis' tone and his attitude towards Simon and the testing of the "experiments" (mods).

Ya know... I'm not sure why... but The relationship between Lewis & Simon in the Yoglabs Universe remind me of the relationship between Neo Cortex & Crash Bandicoot. The scientist bent on world domination, who happens to fail at the simple things... like avoiding telling Simon about his rarely-hidden plots for world domination. & the creation, Simon, who somehow foils his creators plans through sheer will & stupidity. Also, Simon has an orange beard like Crash, & Lewis reminded me of Dr. Neo Cortex with his black beard & mustache. Maybe it's just the beard... I'm probably reading to deeply into this.

There are also points where he rebels.
