I feel like the true reason this was the so-called "Golden Age" of youtube is those creators, created whatever they wanted which made the content better because they actually put their hearts into their videos. Now, creators, just do whatever their fans like, and some of the content, as a result, becomes poor, because they don't put their heart and soul into the video. One of the reasons this channel is so good and popular is that Ryan creates the content he wants to create. That is one of the reasons he switched to the Off the Pill Podcasts. He started to lose interest in his other types of videos. That's what makes this channel so special to me.

Salamander No, back then, creators created videos that they wanted to create even if fans didn’t really like the videos. That made the videos 10 times better because they were putting their heart and soul into these videos. Now, you tubers are just going with trends and making videos to be on the “trending” page. Back then no one did this.

Shady Boi lets be honest though back then content creators would do this as a hobby and put everything into it because they weren’t looking for pay they just wanted to make videos for people and to have fun.Nowadays it’s about click bait and trying to make trendy content to stay on top it’s like a competition now.And yeah there are definitely still KZbinrs who do this for fun and make great content but it’s not as common anymore. That’s why back then felt like the golden age.
