I mean its true, its just that over time you learn the muscle memory for what different knobs do, but yeah basically. I went to college to learn more advanced stuff about sound design, and it largely just gave me a nice base knowledge to work from. TBF though I definitely just do the twist knobs till it sounds cool, but I generally try my best to look at what i did and figure out how I got there.
