i didn't know Nowhere was in kansas, This just adds to my other theory that Night Vale, Nowhere and Gravity Falls are all located at essential points of the earth that are extremely vulnerable to multidimensional crossover and sporadic lapses of the laws of physics as we know them. in a separate comment I did a short fan fic suggestion about all of the main characters of the shows meeting each other somehow, and Cecil having to deal with the mountains and forests for the first time while in Gravity Falls.

Oooh that sounds like a good fanfic crossover idea and it does makes senses. Personally, from my experience with the book and its sequel I would add the John Dies at the series by David Wong fictional city the books are located in as a possible addition to fandoms that could be cross over with Night Vale since, that city is a pretty strange location.
