Very cool, thanks for posting. I am a 69 year old (semi) retired race car builder/driver. I haven't welded in many years but just purchased an inexpensive 4 in 1 Mig Hitbox welder and going to try to start doing projects like that. I have a lot of nuts,bolts,washers and other stuff to work with. I just need to use my imagination. Start out small and then get bigger & bigger. Maybe some yard ornaments..... The prospects are unlimited!! Thanks again for the video.

Awesome! Having a welder definitely comes in handy, and this weld art stuff is also fun. I’ve made a few more things and made a video on one of them. kzbin.info/www/bejne/sJa0d4Ruord6kKc Congrats on the welder, have fun!

Thanks! I have made a few more things since this. Some out of stainless steel (nice and shiny) and one out of various parts (rust and different finishes). I’m still enjoying it.

Looks like fun art to do with old bolts, washers etc. What were your wire speed and voltage

I used flux core on an Eastwood MIG 135. I’m pretty sure the settings were G - 3. I also filmed another little nuts and bolts weld art project a few months ago. I’ve made a few things. It’s been enjoyable. kzbin.info/www/bejne/sJa0d4Ruord6kKc

Anytime I try to weld something with flux core steel wire, I can snap it up apart with my hands. It never adheres. What settings do you have on that MIG to be able to do these nut/bolt welds so easily?
@HowtoandReviewsOfficial Жыл бұрын
Your welder should have a voltage and wire speed chart for different materials and thickness. I have the Eastwood MiG 135. I’m running the setting G3 with flux core wire.

That was brilliant! What brand model blue buffing wheel do you use?
@HowtoandReviewsOfficial Жыл бұрын
I’m using something like this: amzn.to/3sHw3vM I cannot recommend this specific brand. I’ve never use the specific one, it’s just an example. I bought my set many years ago at Ace Hardware. They work well to remove paint and rust. They also do a pretty good job at buffing up these weld art pieces.
